show me one place i lashed out as someone without being mocked or insulted first?

Sure, I'll show you a few.The creation of this topic by you http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/15/162109/1.ashx and the angry way in which you insulted those here.

if you dont like the organization, why are you a pioneer? Or did you get these comments secondhand? If you have problems being a pioneer, you certainly shouldnt be so two faced so as to post in derision on an internet board of ex-jws -- thats cowardly.

No one insulted or mocked you first but they did do it to the org.Was that the same as doing it to you ? http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/9/161802/1.ashx You were given a respectful response and you responded with....

hmmm im trying to make sense of that --

the point of the course, quite clearly - is to progress within the org as a full time preacher.

You are doing it for other reasons, and then slagging off what you hear?

    yeah, cowardly.
shit or get off the pot baby ;)

    Also
my questions and responses may be blunt, but i never insult or mock anyone. its a huge difference really.
We've already seen that's not the case.

whatever you do, dont show her the hate laden drivel that many times resides here..show her the facts

So, most, or many times, what's posted here is just "hate laden drivel", not facts ? Really ? Do I really need to continue with the quotes ? I don't think so, nor do I have a desire to do so. As for some other points. The idea that the Org has "cleared up" some Biblical teachings makes them no more God's sole channel on earth than any other religion that has "cleared up" some misunderstandings. There are many talented Theologians who have written detailed books clearing up misunderstandings.Even many televangelists are very well versed and persuasive, very knowledgeable. But as you said, that may not mean much, so why get worked up when they are rightly criticized for the extreme control and damage they continue to do to people's lives ? If they were truly humble and Christ-like they wouldn't seek to get involved in matters which are none of their business, especially matters of life and death. They truly try to be the masters of others faith which is in direct contrast to do the Bible's counsel. Once again, regarding the college issue, some elders may have discussed it, but the "ban" comes from the top and you don't know what actions are yet to be taken against those elders that openly discussed it.With what spirit did they discuss it ? Trust me, I know for a fact, that things are not always as they appear and behind the closed doors of the elders meeting counsel may be given to the elders which is unknown to the "friends".If you happened to come from a very liberal congregation, be glad.My own cong. was considered rather liberal, but that's also why the CO keeps a close eye on matters and things can change quickly.I speak out of experience , so just because things seem fine on the surface doesn't mean they really are that way.I'm glad a few good men try to stand up for what is right but the Society has intentionally put increased pressure on them and many are stepping down.True company men are most valuable to them. I also am not suggesting that one ignore whatever positive experiences they may have had as a Witness. But it must be acknowledged that such experiences can, and are, experienced by many other relgions... or those with no religion, and many other groups.Unbalanced sentimentality creates unreasonableness.Every tree will be recognized by its fruit, will it not ? The rotten fruit of "damaged" lives is scattered throughout the earth and is directly related to their activity, teachings and control.Get out from among them is wise counsel.

man, im sorry if people cant take the truth -- I stand behind my statements, and didnt at the time view that as insulting. I do feel, it is cowardly to do what he has done -- and never have i stooped to the level as more than a few here have, of responding to my good experiences or questioning with answers such as "you are sick" "you are an idiot" see my posts in that thread you mention.

and my created topic was not insulting. It was an observation, a harsh one maybe, but i did not insult anyone directly.

I think you really are stretching to find something of some relevance that i did here...

Solace, you have a brand of doube-talk very similar to the kind the FTS uses. You don't have a leg to stand on when your comments are taken within the context of your other comments. You're a troublemaker and a timewaster.

yes!!!! I am a snare and a racket eh? So i guess you will discount my experiences and posts based on a couple of sour ones eh? I bet youre glad that you havent been judged in that way!!!

keep labeling me, man -- it will get you nowhere in life to have such a static view.

I went back and read your posts from the start. There's nothing in there that convinces me I should waste any more of time responding to you or reading anything you post. I don't think you're genuine. Maybe it's harsh, and only time will tell, but for now, I'm out.

I was raised a JW, But thankfully the Brothers in New York gave us a date, 1975. Most of my concious years were focused on that date.

We were coming down the home stretch and it was pretty exciting with Armegedon in 75.

But I was not impressed with Armegeddon so I started to fade in 76.

I am very glad I am out.

I wish my mother had never answered the door to those magazine salesman.

I will never recover from the damage they did in my formative school years.

I think it sucks that the society can not give a date for Armegedon 2.

It would free up a whole generation of thinkers.

I take Solace in knowing that some people want to live in a world devoid of the facts. There's been a poster whose name escapes me that always talked about the warm and fuzzy feelings he got when he went to a convention or a meeting. Like I have said before-----they're in LaLaLand.

i think you already stated your point.

perhaps i WAS in lalaland... however, whatever happened, there were good, genuine feelings associated with that.

    It was quite real.

you have no right implying or assuming anything about me.
