You still crack me up
I owned a couple of retail stores
a few years back
I attended a business owners seminar
sponsored by Disney, yea that Disney
Cost me a fortune to go
Anyway,
One thing that really stuck with me
and I always passed along was
a spin on the classic line about customers,
"The customer is NOT always right,
but they are ALWAYS the customer"
No matter how stupid they may be,
and people are pretty stupid at times,
at least give the appearance of respect.
Or you could just smack 'em and take
the kids lunch money -

I haven't seen it so much in this store, but the last one I was in had a few customers that cracked me up every time. They always found something to be pissed off about, and every damned time they were in there they would say they were never coming back--yeah, two or three times a week even. lol They were some of our more regular customers though. ;-) Working retail, you get used to letting people bitch and only listening enough to pick out what they're wanting.
