I have to tell you this is truly an amazing thread! I would like very much to get out of the borganization. I definitely don't want to raise my child in it. However I am very attatched to those in the borg that I do consider friends, people I share hobbies like music and sports with (although many don't have much time to spend on these hobbies when they get wrapped up in the cult b.s., hence, I usually like the "weak" ones that aren't as wrapped up in it all.)

I know what you're saying Flipper that it is conditional. But consider that my parents, my brother, and my wife are my friends, yet, according to your posts, they are also not really my friends as their relationships are only as good as my towing the cult line. This is a tough one.

Also, it has been said that those on this board are the real friends, and while that may be true, how often do you see each other in real life? Billy, you made some great points about friendships with school and workmates and how we move on in life.
