I guess you know me so well. I ma sorry you feel the way you do.

I just live and let live. Gos will judge all mankind, not just me.

I am very fortunate I live in the Untied States, we have the freedom to worship any way we choose. My mother-in-law is very much into New Age movement. We have a lot of discussion, but in no way do I disrespect her or look down on her. We have great respect for one another even though she told me she will never accept Jesus.

I just preach the gospel of Jesus.

If a person choses to sin, that is their choice, but the person also must bear the consequnces of such actions. You can make fun of me all you want, but what I am telling is the truth.

Jesus ate with sinners and was among them. If they chose to follow hiam and accepted him as the Messiah, they also turned thier lives around. Yes, these sinners made a choice not only to follow Jesus but to get right with God. That is why Jesus died for us, so we have the chance to get right with him.

His love, mercy and grace is not a license to sin. From looking at your profile you live in teh Netherlands. I have to assume you guys have a more liberal political and religous enviroment. It shape the way you think and view things.

You were doing okay until that statement. Now if you meant it in a general sense that all actions have consequences, then that is fine. But if you meant that these consequenses will come from god, then you are certainly not telling thhe 'truth'. You are telling your interpretation of an old book written by ancient, superstitious men. You have no evidence outside of the Bible to back your claim, so you cannot be speaking 'truth'. Objective truth would need observable facts to back it. In this case you have none. All you have are ancient mythical stories.

    RR,

People love to "throw the baby out with the bathwater," and then condemn you when you don't. I guess it easier to throw everything out, that way, you don't feel responsible to any "higher power" but yourself and then you can focus on your own selfish needs as oppose to doing God's will.
I think I said the exact same thing about others when I was a JW. For a moment, I thought YOU were a JW.

    RR,

Most xjws have a complex, they've been deceived all their lives and when they learn the truth about the Watchtower their so angry that instead of searching for God or making sense of Him, they abandon Him and turn their backs. It's easier to deny something, that way you're not responsible.
You keep making these sweeping generalizations. It's bullshit, man. Many HAVE made that search. Many HAVE tried to make sense out of "God" and are finding valid reasons to "believe" few and far between.

Well maybe you can see the consequnce.

If a person smokes cigarettes, they may get cancer. It is a consequnce of smoking.

If you eat a diet of junk food, high fat, and empty calories with out exercising, you mostl likely suffer a lifestyle/diet related disease.

If a person has a substance/alchol abuse problem they can not only suffer phyiscal problems, but emotinal and family problems.

If a person (male or female) abuses another person the results are break down of relationships, injury, and even death.

If a person cheats on thier spouse a consequnce can a divorce, break down of the family, children having problems, etc. You don't have to be a Godly perosn to see how today ingnoring his principles are the root of many of today's problems,

God tells us no for our own good. He created mankind and know what the results of our action are before we do things.

Most people who are not raised as JWS and came inot the Organization has a very good reason. I know myself they appeared clean and mure more organized than the churches I attended. I desire even as a teen-ager to serve God. I still do even though I am no longer a Jehovah's Witness.

    RR,

was Jesus a Christian? Did he read the same Bible you read? Why do you answer?

What you do not seem to be hearing is that I, like many others here who do not claim any special relationship with God, accept you and your personal beliefs. You are a human being the same as I and have the same strengths and weakensses. You are no more or less capable of being duped as I am. I do not know what you read and how you act. But I can tell you that if you act as God would act, if you are godly, you will be closer to imitating Christ than any man or women who merely says they are a believer. I am suggesting to you that it does not matter to God what you call yourself or who you claim to follow but how you live. It deos not matter to God who does and who does not believe in his existance. You seem to be under the immpression that God is keeping track of who is on speaking up for him and who is not. Presumably, those who are not are to be dealt a harsh discipline.

Have you considered that Jesus, who you believe to have walked the earth as a man, would understand the human condition and avoid making the mistake of seperating mankind into believers and non-believers. I will suggest that you follow your own advice and read your Bible. ut do so critically. Try to figure out what Jesus really said and how he really acted. Then, compare that with what you say and how you act. If you find yourself getting uncomfortable it is because you have been duped into thinking that you are special. You are not. That realization can be discomforting. But if you ever do get it, if you ever do find understanding, you will stop all this silly proselytizing and just get on with being god.

I never said I was special, I admit I am a sinner, in need of a savior, I'm not perfect, and I don't go around holding my head up high acting like "I'm all that."

And as to acting like Jesus, most of those on here have that "pharisaical" attitude, so I guess since Jesus condemned them for not believing, I can do the same in imitating Him.

    So, GET A LIFE!

I have to say this in reply to something larc said on Page 1. I can't remember what it was now, but this is the reply I use for people who say we are living in difficult times "What time in history would you prefer to have lived?"

Also, the average life span, mentioned is an average, remember. Many people, and I mean lots and lots, lived really long lives. But there were lots of diseases that killed off huge amounts of young people. Babies and their mothers died at birth, all of these things affecting the average age.

    RR,

thanks for the reminder, but I have a life.

    Mulan,

I'll say the 1930's and 40's. I really dig the Big Band era. I think the average age of jazz musicians isn't so good either. <g>
