is the teaching of Armageddon spurious then?

Of course it was created in the imaginative minds of men, who lived @ 2000 years ago, since this is the case maybe we should acknowledge that fact.

This imaginative thought still proceeds to this day, for numerous of reasons

my next question would have been...

If we do believe in armageddon should we a/ stick our head in the sands and ignore the teaching or b/ try and prepare people for it, or c/ some other response i've not mentioned but be specific please?

@ Reniaa: Do you still believe that the end is near then?

I did see you recently when you were doing streetwork, at least you're not alone in believing this.

Of course, seeing that the end is near, this is my take:

Reniaa, if you keep on thinking about Armageddon, this will be your fate:

If it truly is very very near, those who are so sure should sell all their belongings and
stop worrying about their future in this system of things, but focus on a worldwide
preaching work. They should not waste time on any discussion forums. They should
probably move in together so that only a few of them need to go to secular work in
order to get food and shelter for the rest of them who are truly trying to reach people.

The worldwide preaching work should not be a waste of time knocking on doors of
those that are not at home, nor should it be sitting on a park bench with a magazine
propped up in your lap. It should be proactive. The organization behind a real effort to
help the world should stop worrying about profits, but should get involved in a worldwide
advertising campaign that includes billboards, radio & television, the internet, bullhorns,
    whatever else they can do.

The God that they are all so sure of will bless such efforts. They don't need to worry if
"the end" delays because God will make sure they live forever for their efforts to help
    billions of people.

SO I CHOOSE B. But B is not what the WTS and it's drones are doing.

Well, first of all, I already answered that I'm not part of your "we"... I think Armageddon is a bogus teaching.

    Your question is like asking:

If we believe in the Flying Spaghetti Monster and we know that very soon he will shower his displeasure with Ramen noodles and deadly meatballs, at Pastageddon, that will cause the death and destruction of all the infidels on the earth taht are not among the 12 million worldwide pastafarians dressed in full pirate regalia. Since this is obviously the case, will you: a/ stick our head in the sands and ignore the teaching or b/ try and prepare people for it, or c/ some other response i've not mentioned but be specific please?

onthewayout its easy to pick fault but if the answer is what you say it is why not build another org in the correct way then?

oompa I guess that answers the question which one of us would be a good Jew if I asked it they liked their rules/commandments:). but all leave when the JWD fat lady sings in the new year after that I may still be on topix a forum more open to both sides of the story.

There are currently 2.8 billion people on Earth that are not getting preached to by JWs. (China + India + Muslim Nations)

Please hurry up and give them a witness!

Why does Jehovah hate Chinese people, anyway? I never can get a straight answer on that one, from JWs. They always tell me that Armageddon is coming next week, but 1 billion Chinese, including tens of millions of babies and children, have not heard the Kingdom message and the warning message.
