The teachings of the WT are spurious. THEY are the ones that have given it a specific time frame-that grew and grew until they removed the fence because obviously, the fence was not from God.
What else that they teach is not from God?

wel crap..i have tried and tried to post a really nice post of a WT that says "billions will die that do not know jehover and in their ignorance do things he hates"...or similar...and have rebooted, closed out, even a system restore!!!...and it just frikkin will not let me post it dammit....so that is as close to demon activity as i have seen.......bye.....oompa

Yes, the teaching of Armageddon is spurious. The Bible explicitly tells us that no one, not even the Filthful and Disgraceful Slavebugger, knows the timing of it.
Anyone telling us that "this generation shall not pass before it all happens" needs to find the starting point of that "generation" and a stable definition of a "generation". They have used as a starting point 1799, 1874, and 1914--just pick one, or the whole damn prophecy is shot to shreds. They have also used for a "generation" "those of the anointed class", "those who saw 1914", "those who were alive in 1914", "those who share the characteristics of people around in 1914", and now back to "those of the anointed class". Hardly a stable definition of a "generation".
And, mathematically, it can be very close and getting ever closer without actually arriving. To understand it, one must have a basic understanding of freshman algebra, which many witlesses are prevented from having (with boasting sessions that impede their sleeping on school nights, and field circus all afternoon, it's a wonder they can study at all). There is a simple equation that leaves half the distance each day. Anyone that understands basic simultaneous equations and graphing equations can see that there are simultaneous equations with no root, or solution (points where both are true). And, Armageddon can be the same--close, getting closer (half the distance every day), and still have no root (or intersection). Meaning, it ain't coming.

Same here, they are all quoting the November '08 KM. Thing is, I remember it being "so close you could smell it" so the horizon feels somewhat further off. How many generations has this been going on for?
