Lots of other Christian faiths are preparing their people Reniaa. Trouble is their worship isn't acceptable because they follow men and teach unscriptural doctrines so even though they have sincere intentions their worship doesn't count.
Jehovah's Witnesses on the other hand....

The “Society” equating Armageddon to the horizon is very fitting for them. Seeing that no matter how far you go, no matter how fast you go, you never arrive at the horizon.

I can only assume this is why most cults do not want to you to associate with non-members. If you simply talk with people and ask them to explain their beliefs, you can learn all sorts of things. You will hear personal stories about their faith and details of their personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
One need only talk to any self-described evangelical Christian to realize that they are very much so focused on "preparing" their people.

No one denies that the Bible speaks of Har-Mageddon, or of a Day of Judgement..But the infuriating thing is that whilst saying that , God leaves mankind totally in the dark as to when? What it may actually be? Is it intended to be symbolic or literal? Could there be an "Invisible" Armageddon? or a "Spiritual" Armageddon? I do not know. It is left to inferior men to work out and decide what God is trying to tell us.Since there are all number of teachers and seers and interpreters, it is no wonder that people say , "No more" and get on with their lives.
Would God really work that way? I do not think so. If I am wrong and Armageddon swallows me up, then Renaia, my wife and all the other 7 million of them can wag their finger at me as I sink to oblivion . (shrug)

No, we want to be awake at all times. That does not excuse prophecying falsely in the name of God as the WT has done. There are many Christians who also keep awake but do not utter false prophecies.
