It's a beautiful cloudy day in the high '50's (nice and cold for us in Cali) with a chance of rain. I'm cooking and listening to Opera, two of my favorite things.
Anyone else starting to do the food prep for TG??

I am sitting here thinking about it. Having a glass of wine first.
Yep, went to the store, and got everything........started the chopping of the veggies, baking the cornbread for the
dressing.....and all that junk.
*now drinking, won't turn out right if i'm sober*

Hmmm I see you girls have the right idea, but it's only 3:30 here.
I've made applesauce, tomorrow I will make it into applesauce cake. I've chopped all the veg for the stuffing, made Butternut Squash soup up to the last step which I will leave for Thursday, made Clam Chowder for tonight, and I'm thinking about making the pie crust. What else can I do ahead?
I cook everything tomorrow, except for the turkey.
Going shopping in the morning. yeah I know I'm waiting till late. Screw it. I'm sick.
It's 5 o'clock somewhere, especially here. Is that the celery talking to me? "Chop me. Chop me". More wine is in order and more wine I shall have.
Wine makes celery chop sooooo much better, doesn't it?
wine, (or screwdrivers) make everything better!!
I am going to hate to pull the headship issue, but I asked my wife to purchase a turkey while it is on sale for 19 cents a pound...she said if I want turkey for MY THANKSGIVING CELEBRATION I can buy it myself......I have tried to be real nice......but this is such a ridiculous statement.....what a screwed up organization.
