In search of, even when we were in, we made turkey or ham on a holiday sometimes because like you said it is cheaper and cooking a big meal is a nice thing to do when everyone has the day off. The whole Thanksgiving thing is new to me too, but we bought the turkey and all the fixings the kids are looking forward to it. If all else fails have a glass of wine.

Thanks no more......I shall do that....I will also ask her if she wants to have a meal with her son and I on Thursday or if he and I will head over to a house where we were invited to celebrate thanksgiving, without her.......

She is just over sensitized today, she has her 'personal watch tower book, I mean bible study' today

Yesterday we baked off 2 pans of corn bread and simmered a big pot of giblet broth for dressing and gravy. (The liver never makes it into the gravy, I eat it right out of the broth with a glass of red and a little tobasco sauce..) Tomorrow, pumpkin pies...

Gregor, if you eat the livers...........EEWWWWWW (Have some Southern blood in ya, boy?)

Beks, one day I pray to be laying on your couch while you cook. Then I'll be more than 90 pounds of crazy.

I'm starting tomorrow. Planned the menu with Mom. It's a tag team operation with me and her. Amazes me how she loves to help cook Thanksgiving dinner and hang out with me all day. (She does the same thing at Christmas----having a non-Dub man makes things easier for her).

Girl I can't think of anything better than making delectable treats to tempt you with. While we sip our wine and laugh our buns off.

Hmmm, Beks, sounds better than waking up in cheese dip after a Grateful Dead concert.

I dunno, waking up after a Dead show is pretty damn awesome. The waking up part, and the Dead show.

Yeah it came back in bits and pieces. But I kinda saw Jerry Garcia before he died. Touch of Grey woke me up.

The wonderful gift of teaching your children how to cook has come back to bless me!..

But she isn't cooking this year, her MIL is and we are all eating it at my daughters house.(I'm good friends with her in-laws)

All I have to do is make two apple pies...yummy!

My other daughter is cooking for her daughter and son in law and their two children..and a friend..

My son is cooking for his wife and stepdaughter and his own two children from his first marriage....I don't know if her parents will be there.

I wish we could have all been together but it didn't work out this year. We did all get together for my Birthday in August though so I can't complain...

    Maybe Christmas.....

Right now I can't wait to eat!!!!!

    Snoozy..
