Though I was a little older, I went through a similar experience. Several years after being reinstated, I was asked to me a bridesmaid in my friends wedding. Several weeks later, I was asked NOT to be in the wedding. He mother, the POs wife, didn't want anyone but virgins as bridesmaids.
