I'm a big Paul McCartney and Beatles fan - so naturally I liked McCartney's show a few years ago. It's hard to believe the guy is 66 , turns 68 in June ! My son treated me to go with him to see McCartney in 2005 with his band - greatest concert I ever saw ! 40 songs , over three and a half hours of Beatles/McCartney songs . And the guy is so friendly, normal, humble - just like a guy next door , unassuming and great dry sense of humor . Is great with an audience - like you've known him all your life ! Well- really I have I guess ! LOL! Peace out, Mr. Flipper

Hey Flipper! Have you heard of "The Bridge School Benefit" shows? Amazing stuff, but you never know what you're going to get I try to go every year. Neil Young's son is handicapped, and goes to a school (The Bridge School) here in the Bay Area. Every year they have a benefit concert, hosted by Neil, and over the years, with amazing guests. A couple of years ago, Paul McCartney was there ( hehe and Tony Bennett!). It was fantastic!!

I think Bruce did a fantastic job, put out a class act, and 12 minutes at the Super Bowl was probably nothing, he's been doing a concert tour, I know up until last summer.

I'd be tickled pink to look as good and can be as energetic as Springsteen when I'm 59 years old...
I've seen him three times in concert. All three rank up there as some of the best shows I've ever seen. The man leaves it all on stage when he performs. He truly is The Boss when it comes to concert performances.

I'm with you undercover. I've been seeing him since '78, the concerts were 4 plus hours long just up until a few years ago. I don't even know how many times I've seen him. It was twice last year and yesterday I got tickets for April here in LA, and considering going to Phoenix to catch his concert there.
He is not the same as 30 years ago, nobody is. But of all the concerts I've seen, he still is the best as far as pure enjoyment of rock and roll and audience participation. Actually, early U2 was right up there.
You like who you like, and this half time show was great. I really like U2 after 9/11...that was awesome. Prince was good. But, hey, we were excited to see Bruce.

I am mixed on SuperBowl halftime shows. The Rolling Stones and Prince and The E Street Band
were big draws in their time. They are still bigger than many up and coming performers.
The people watching the game are generally older than 30 or 40, so these big "older" names
are good.BUT- music acts are about rebellion and celebration and sex and energy. That doesn't always
mean youth and sex appeal, but there has to be some of that. Prince kind of represented
that well, and the other post-Janet performances don't do too bad at representing some of
that. Still, they cannot continue digging up older bands and people to avoid another Janet
incident. Just avoid the same thing when you let Beyonce or Carrie Underwood out there.
Bring the hip/hop artists out there with a clear understanding that nobody is allowed to
get naked and they will pay the fines if they violate their contract with language, nudity,
political speak.Heck, they could continue to bring a nice mix of younger artists out there that still wouldn't
want to reveal their body parts. There are tons of them.
