Homerovah thanks for Still my guitar gently weeps. Jimmypage the kids are doing okay, huh? Kinda spooky that they look very close to their Dads. I can't get anything done today from watching all these that I missed last night while sleeping. Must go. Hey Leolaia it was the early sixties that is what was going on then, LSD and maryjane.

    Hey Bubblie,

The Concert for George is a must have for Beatles Fans. George was not my favorite, but as time has passed, I find that I am drawn closer and closer to his music. We talk a lot of religion here, but I would have to say that I think George was a "spiritual man." I think he found his "inner peace."

I'm quite fond of at least 50% of the White Album, including, particularly, Sexy Sadie, Rocky Raccoon, Happiness is a Warm Gun, Dear Prudence...aw, shucks, I like the whole thing!

You know I've always thought I was kind of weird, but I think if the White Album had been a single album, instead of a double, it would be remembered far, far better than it is. There is some really good stuff on that album. And yes, "Abbey Road" is greatness. But I've thought that their best album was "Rubber Soul". They were still on the way up, they were charged about their music, the bickering hadn't really started and the music was expanding.

I like "Abbey Road", I really do, but there's a goodbye-feeling that kind of brings it down for me. Harrison really steps forward though on that album. Big time.

Has anyone read Peter Brown's book, "The Love You Make"?

Interesting book, he came out with some stories I hadn't heard before. For example, after Yoko and John met, Yoko stood outside John and Cynthia's home for days, even in the rain, until John finally brought her inside. Cynthia went out for the day and when she came back she found they had slept together and John told her he wanted a divorce. Cold.

I think you are right about the White Album, Tex. In those years, the Beatles could have produced just about anything, and it would have sold. If the White Album had been distilled down some, the dynamics would have been different. I always felt that through that album, I got to know them a little better.

John could be very brutal. Definately "out there." But, could he make statements that resonated!

Tex, in the Beatles Anthology Ringo made the joke that it should have been two albums: "The White Album" and "The Whiter Album". Paul said he was not one to analyze such things, that "it was the bloody Beatles and it sold, so that's good enough."

Now the thing that gets me is that with all the Beatle fans on this board why NO ONE said a word when I tried to start a thread about the Fireman album "Electric Arguments". You all do know who the Fireman is, don't you?

JimmyPage.....I wish I had an mp3....I just have the vinyl. I gotta get myself a turntable sometime and digitally record the music.

Here is the group photo and demo of one of their songs:
