You Know:
Time will tell which one of is in over our heads will it not? May it be that you are in for the shock of your life. You will get that shock when Jehovah brings the hotshots in the Society and those little obedient puppets the {ELDERS} to their knees. Lets face it it has to come. All of the arrogant , those who have taken the best seats in the house for themselves are coming down. The Bible says that they are! Will you be among them when they do? Then you are coming down too. A little while longer! Be patient its coming!

YK,
Apostates are clearly not in agreement then, because the intent of the original poster was to prove that disfellowshipping is not Scriptural.
I read the intent of the original post as trying to prove the the WTS process of disfellowshipping is unscriptual. Perhaps BillParker can clarify that for us.
As a fellow apostate, which you surely are as you are not in theological agreement with those you claim to follow, I welcome you to the valley of apostate vipers. I think few people would argue with handing you the title of Grand Poobah Viper, as you are certainly the most venom filled of our brood.

ROY BATTY:
Even with a man who commited the worst possible sin, how did Jesus later address him? After Judas kissed him he said at Matt. 26:50 esus replied, "Friend, do what you came for."
You are apparently using an inferior translation. The NWT uses the word "fellow" instead of "friend" at that verse. According to the Greek Interlinear, which I just consulted, the Greek word used there is different from the Greek word Jesus used at John 3:29 where he referred to the "friend of the bridegroom." Obviosuly at that verse fellow would not be a suitable word. So, the word fellow does not necessarily denote friendship. Jesus used the word fellow in one of his parables, at Matthew 22:12, which says: "Fellow, how did you get in here not having on a marriage garment?" The "fellow" was subsequently tossed out into the street. Not hardly something one would do to a friend. So, Jesus' calling Judas fellow was meant more as an impersonal acknowledgment, like saying 'hey man, what do you think you are doing?' / You Know

YAWN! In the end, after apostates have shot their spindly arrows of scripture at me, to no avail; after they have exhuasted themselves in hysterics and ridicule, with no effect; as a last resort, desperation tatic, to neutralize one whom they themselves deride as a Watchtower drone and puppet; in the end the frustrated apostate announces to the board that YK is not a Watchtower supporter after all. "He is one of us" the beleaugered apostate declares. Now do you understand why I coined the expression "apostate Bozo"? LOL / You Know

To all:
I feel that we have pretty well beaten this one to death. Time to move on to something else. Whatever that turns out to be. -

You know says:
So what? Paul was an apostle of Christ and spoke for Jesus and he indicated that the congregations should have qualified men to serve as judges in these matters.
Joelbear asks:
Where is the scriptural reference that says qualified men will serve as judges in the congregation? Where is the reference that says 3 men will decide whether a person should be "handed over to Satan"? Where is the reference that says the person must come back and make their case to them before being welcomed back? Where is the appeals process set up? Where is the direction to these judges as to what constitutes repentence?
This is a serious inquiry. Where are these references?

YK, what Dylan song did you quote these lyrics from? I entered it into the search database on bobdylan.com and it came up empty.Tom
