Seriously, for all you anti-gun folks. How would you defend yourself in a home invasion situation? And should this Question have it's own topic?
In my neighborhood. Armed woman defends herself from home invaders.

:We have Cameras all around are house. They can't get in the house, with out seeing there Picture.
I don't think they want there picture taken. We have Security sign.
Maybe you can stop their bullets by hitting them with the Security sign and threaten them by waving their picture at them while they are shooting you dead.

In case anyone is interested, this episode of '30 Days' presented two different views of gun control, in a non-hysterical manner.

I love where I live.
I just installed reinforcements to the house's entryways. Chains and stuff. Locking bars on the sliding glass doors.

Three cheers for the lady in Golden Gate Estates. I'm very familiar with the area since my daughter has lived in Fort Myers for the past 8 years and this month moved to Bonita Springs. She has been through a special hand gun protection course designed just for women and she will use her weapon if necessary. She was a statistic once and now refuses to be a victim again as long as she has breath. BTS.....good for you and the shotgun.
I keep my S & W 380 right next to the recliner and the S & W 38 Special +p within reach of the bed.

Well then, maybe depending on how heavy that security sign and camera system is, I can get you in good enough shape to where you don't need to use a gun against any assailants. All you have to do is to get into good enough shape to where you fufill the Marine's standards for fitness and you can take some martial arts lessons with me. After about 2-5 years of martial arts training with me, you could confront those thieves again after they rob your entire home clean and face them in a cagefight.
All kidding aside, security cameras do jack diddly, because people usually wear masks when they're breaking into a house. Buy a gun, pepper spray, a bayonet and maybe get some hapkido or jujitsu training if you want to keep your family defended because your camera system is only good for taking videos of your pets.

Security cameras help. They act as a deterrent. If you are going to pick a house, all else being equal, you go after the one without the countermeasures. Of course, thieves aren't the most rational people in the world either.

I couldn't sleep at night if I didn't feel "protected" (you know what I mean?) BTW, has any of my fellow arms advocates noticed less ammo on the shelves at the bigger chain stores like Academy? I'm just wondering if people are buying it up or if it is being manufactured less.
