    passwordprotected you are building up false hope and in telling hobo to ignore my comments you are also misleading him. As both I and Carla (and countless other posters over the years) have pointed out, the Society have often printed advice to examine your religion or religious organisation.

    We all know that advice comes from the printing presses of a hypocritical, two-faced, lying cult!

    This new article is certainly worthy of comment and I accept much of what you and others have written but don't get everyone thinking that this is going to change anything - and please don't make the false claim that it is anything new or unique - it isn't.

    Nice Blog Password, I've linked your blog to a comment on the BBC christian messageboard. Lets hope its read before the mods cotton on and pull my comment. (The BBC are very touchy)

    nic, what you consistently fail to recognise is that articles like his have helped people get free....not everyone, but SOME people.

    Hobo - am I misleading you?

    It will change things for some people, maybe even people within our own families. If you don't agree, that's cool. Have a nice day.

    @boyzone, nice one.

    "They have stated in black and white that choosing to leave the WTS should not cost a person their family"

    They absolutely have NOT stated that! Show me any reference to leaving 'the WTS' in that article.

    "there's no two ways about it; JWs are being given license to have relationship with DAd family members"

    Really? They are being given license are they? C'mon man stop building up the hopes of so many stressed out and depressed posters.

    "This entire article is massive for all of us who are being shunned and rejected by our families for choosing to change religion. I cannot possibly see how any reasonable person won't be affected by this"

    Just because you cannot see it . . . (Argument from personal incredulity)

    "Jehovah's Witnesses are now taught that no one - including them - should have to choose between their beliefs and their family. This is impossible to wiggle out of unless the JWs in question actually want to reject their family members who have different beliefs from them or who are disfellowshipped"

    Please PP, they are not being taught that at all! Your dogmatic assertions are leaving you precious little wiggle room and you will only wind up looking a little foolish. I accept that some individuals may press this issue enough to make a doubting JW think a little bit harder - and I rejoice in that along with you PP. But the scale of change is not - as you have asserted, massive.

    Respectfully,

    The implications are massive for any of us who wish to reach out to JW family members.

    Nic, you may not agree and you may have a much longer tooth in the exJW community. That's fine. I'm as much entitled to my positivity to the great use this article can be put to in the right hands as you are to your persistent negativity.

    Have a good one.

    currently Mark's blog is on the home page of www.freeminds.org - that means a few thousand people a day interested in JW's and the WTS will see it - that's a lot of people finding out about the latest egregious doublespeak that the WTS specialize in.

    Massive is a bit subjective but if we all work however we can to publicize this with friends, family and online we can make it embarrassing at the least

    One person out the cult is massive in my book, especially for that one.

    @ besty;

    One person out the cult is massive in my book, especially for that one.

    good work isa - you can also email any article directly from the freeminds website. currently this requires your email address and will be visible to the recipient - so either you need to be 'out' or use an email address that isn't known to be yours...
