very interesting. I don't think that they have pauid staff, generally there is an ass-embly holl overseer that makes a Bethel salary (US$100 per month, plus $360 yearly, that would seem to be the $1660 canadian$). The $21,000 can also be benefits, perhaps this is for gasoline and health insurance for the volunteer worker, paid as a charitable expense.

Could it be that other "expenses" of the weekend include "donations" to the mother organization and air fare and transportation for the out-of-town speakers?
Oh, I'm sure. And of course the hotel and meal expenses for the ones that come from Bethel must be covered. Aren't we blessed?
Also, there are apartments for the CO and DO in the Rosenberg, Texas Ass Hall, I know. Those must be maintained. Also, the air conditioning was always cranked up so high it was COLD in the auditorium. Must have cost a fortune....the ceilings were extremely high.
Of course, there was lawn maintenance there to pay for. They had a large facility just for their lawn equipment. Of course, all the labor was free. Went there many times...and brought our lawn mower....and pulled weeds in the blazing Texas sun. They had golf carts that went around with water so that no one would faint from the heat. Also, couldn't wear shorts as I recall.

It is what the Society charge the Circuit for its use. The Society own it and charge the Circuit usually on a per publisher basis
