Restrangled, that was funny. I have no beef with squirrels, but then I don't have a bird feeder either.

I like to sit on my back porch and watch them play in the trees soo cute! On spring mornings, I can watch the squirrels and listen to the birds sing. We have woodpeckers, too. They are beautiful!

We have alot of birds out here in the country.

One I saw the other day had a bright red head, a brownish tan body with, if I remember right a white band around it's neck, I don't think I have ever seen this bird before.

We have a hummingbird feeder. Last year we counted twenty plus hummingbirds feeding at the same time. This year we have only counted two so far.

I have had those feeders in the video, they are great. Left them with the property when I moved from Missouri, along with a nice birdbath, It can get costly watching birds.

Very funny video - and what a good product!

Me? I gave up and left the bird table (always well-stocked with peanuts) to the squirrels. They don't like suet/seed balls so I hang those out for the birds instead.

The funniest thing is watching my cat try and catch the bushy tailed rodents. He never catches them - they're too quick and he's too fat. He's been close though.

I feel so jealous of all the hummingbird watchers! We are suppose to have them here in Florida but only 2 were reported for all of last year in our area, despite planting Red Hibiscus, vines, etc., plus a feeder.....nary a one!

Lavender, I received the squirrel flipper today. It is very nicely made, heavy duty and huge! It has to be charged for 14 hours before I put it up......

Purple Sofa, sorry you left yours behind! They are expensive!

Happy Bird Watching everyone! Please look into Cornell University's The great backyard bird count and sign up for this fall. It would be fun to compare notes.

Does anyone have a favorite pair of field glasses they use? I just bought Bushnell's 10 x 50 permafocus. Fantastic for long distance but not up close.

My neighbor shot (and ate) more than 20 squirrels in our yards, a couple of years ago.

    Loosie...

It's about 7 squirrels, they feed nonstop for 2 hours at a time, keeping the birds away and chasing them from the feeders. They've broken, bitten through and destroyed the feeders. They are absolute pigs with fluffy tails.

On the ground they are fine, but eating through 5 pounds of bird seed in 2 weeks is crazy.

It sounds like you need to borrow my cat Agnes - She has killed so many squirrels, birds, snakes and rabbits in my neighborhood that the neighbors are now complaining.

Wow, Magwitch.....is your cat a Siamese? They seem to be the best hunters.

This is how to deal with those tree rats.
