Sorry didn't see this post so started my own....Vicks should still be in jail for what he did...he is a scumbag...what type of "super sports star" is Vicks for our kids to look up to?

Why do our kids need to look up to athletes in the first place? It's not their job to raise our kids, it's there job to play football!
Just because the NFL is letting him play, doesn't mean every team will be beating down his door with offers.
It's almost football season, I can take off my oxygen mask now..........

All of you who are in mourning for those mistreated dogs (and it's a crying shame what Vick did or allowed to be done to them) should google Cruelties of American Slavery.
That should give you pause
I suggest you google dogfighting, and this case in particular, and read about the way these dogs were treated, the torture they endured, not counting the fighting and subsequent executions. And then ask yourself who is the victim, Michael Vick or the animals.
Vick was just another spoiled athlete. He was paid millions to play a kid's game. He had the world at his feet, and he blew it. Forgive me if I have little sympathy for him because of what his ancestors endured over a hundred years ago. Each person has a moral obligation to learn humanity on their own, regardless of their circumstances. If that makes me lacking in empathy, so be it.

Exactly. From what I've heard, no one is interested at the moment. It will certainly be a long time, if ever, before he's a starter again.
It's almost football season, I can take off my oxygen mask now..........

You gotta admit, had Michael Vick not been rich and famous he would have gotten more prison time. Had it been a poor guy named Ray Ray, he wouldn't have gotten off as easily.
And Terrill Owens has lost his mind (again). Boy, he makes Alabama proud.
