  That Christ has been invisibly present since 1914 or 1918 or whatever, a date they pulled out of their hind ends!

  What really gets me is their claim that Jehovah accepted the Bible Students as his cleansed organization in 1919, but they still believed all sorts of things then that Witnesses declare to be unscriptural now, including observing holidays, the cross, the Trinity, things they say are the beliefs of "false religion". They weren't even known by the designation of Jehovah's Witnesses then.

  How does that work? Well, it doesn't.

  There are lots of these. Here are a few:

  (1) that God does not grant forgiveness of certain sins unless the sinner confesses to elder(s)

  (2) that Jesus is not the mediator for all Christians (Witnesses teach he's mediator only for 144,000 in spite of 1 Tim. 2:5)

  (3) that women are allowed to give parts on meetings (in spite of Paul's clear command at 1 Cor. 14:34-35)

  (4) Everything related to dates and numbers (1914, 1919, 1260 days, 1290 days, 7 trumpet blasts, etc.) is completely made-up and unverifiable.

  That True Christians™ did not, should not and will not observe holidays or birthdays. In fact, Romans 14:5 leaves the decision of whether to observe a certain day or not up to the individual.

  Wow that totally just opened my eyes. I have never once heard this scripture read at any meetings nor did the person who studied with me ever bring it up! That makes me angry.

  What solid scriptural basis is there for judicial committees? They are Jewish sanhedrin courts---not Christian anything!

  What else is not provavble? no beards, 7 gentile times, 2 classes, FDS, Jesus return in 1914, a Babylonish captivity period and subseqent freedom and appointment....a governing body

  blood...salvation only to JWs...

  Acts 7:59 While they were stoning him, Stephen prayed, "Lord Jesus, receive my spirit."

  Ecclesiastes 12:7 and the dust returns to the ground it came from, and the spirit returns to God who gave it.

  Spirit returns to who?
