I feel Hal Linsey is a false prophet.
That is if you judge his work using
    scripture.

Hal Lindsey isn't and doesn't claim to be a prophet Budda, he teaches scripture relating to end time events. He knows what he's talking about.

    Explain this Rick....

In these pages I will attempt to put together my observations of the "end times," hopefully adding to the understanding of what has happened in the twentieth century and what is most likely to happen in the first part of the twenty-first century. I am not a prophet in the supernatural sense, but I hope to "prophesy" in the general sense of "forth telling" the Word of God as I see the prophecies of old reflected in the events of our days.

First, I will present the most remarkable "discovery" that I have made concerning the "timing" of endtime events. The "day-year" method of determining times in prophecy has been observed since the Old Testament Prophets. The First Coming of the Messiah was pretty well expected when Jesus was born due to the prophecies of Daniel. Unfornuately for much of Israel, the religious leaders were not among those that believed this. Let us begin with the "Christian Calendar"

Sounds like Hal has something in common with the
    Governing Body of the Watchtower.

Zec 12:2 Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about, when they shall be in the siege both against Judah and against Jerusalem.
3 And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it.

    Wakf Temple Mount Excavations Continue

The Committee for the Prevention of Desecration of Temple Mount Antiquities released a statement claiming that the Wakf is continuing its efforts to excavate large underground halls and to build prayer halls and other buildings, all the while destroying archaeological remains under the Mount. The Wakf intends, according to the Temple Mount Committee, to import water from Mecca, in Saudi Arabia, in order to fill one of the underground halls being constructed. The Committee further warns that the work being carried out by the Wakf may cause the collapse of the southern supporting wall of the Mount.

The Committee has prepared a petition on the issue of the ongoing Wakf work on the Temple Mount. The petition bears the signatures, among others, of retired Supreme Court Presidents Moshe Landau and Meir Shamgar, retired State Comptroller Miriam Ben Porat, retired Chief of Staff Dan Shomron and ex-Mossad chief Yitzhak Hoffi. The Committee has accused the Prime Minister of ignoring all of their previous attempts to bring the issue to his attention. Furthermore, the Committee accuses Sharon of abusing the issue of security when he limits the access of journalists to the Temple Mount for security reasons.

If the southern wall collapsed the temple to the top of this pic would go with it, and WWIII soon after.

By the way the Temple Mount in the above pic is the stumbling block in the middle east peace process. The world has thier eye's on this prize (Jerusalem) but Israel not the Arabs nor the rest of the world own this land.

Joe 3:10 Beat your plowshares into swords, and your pruninghooks into spears: let the weak say, I am strong.
11 Assemble yourselves, and come, all ye heathen, and gather yourselves together round about: thither cause thy mighty ones to come down, O LORD.
12 Let the heathen be wakened, and come up to the valley of Jehoshaphat: for there will I sit to judge all the heathen round about.
13 Put ye in the sickle, for the harvest is ripe: come, get you down; for the press is full, the fats overflow; for their wickedness is great.
14 Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision: for the day of the LORD is near in the valley of decision.
15 The sun and the moon shall be darkened, and the stars shall withdraw their shining.
16 The LORD also shall roar out of Zion, and utter his voice from Jerusalem; and the heavens and the earth shall shake: but the LORD will be the hope of his people, and the strength of the children of Israel.
17 So shall ye know that I am the LORD your God dwelling in Zion, my holy mountain: then shall Jerusalem be holy, and there shall no strangers pass through her any more.

    Rick:

The purpose for Watching is to know the appropriate time to flee.

Flight is emphasized in connection with the beginning of the Great Tribulation AND the attack on Babylon the Great by the Wild Beast and 10 Kings who never gained full status as significant powers on their own. (Matt 24:14; Rev. 17:12,16; Rev. 18:4)

Just one example to watch proplog2. This is for the people who are in the Tribulation period. I sure wouldn't want to be around then, when the AC steps into the rebuilt temple in Jerusalem. We are exorted to watch before this and many other things take place.

Mt 24:15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)
16 Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:

Oh by the way hot off the press...
another example of the worlds condemnation of Israel (Jerusalem) Oh what a BURDEN! and how blid the world has become... and I quote again,

Zec 12:2 Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about, when they shall be in the siege both against Judah and against Jerusalem.

Arab States Push UN Assembly to Boost Arafat Role
    December 20, 2001 04:53 PM ET

UNITED NATIONS (Reuters) - Angered by Israeli attacks on the Palestinian Authority, Arab nations called on the U.N. General Assembly on Thursday to back the crucial role of Yasser Arafat in diplomatic efforts to end 15 months of Middle East violence.

The push came at an emergency special session of the 189-nation assembly called to counter a recent U.S. veto of a Security Council resolution stating that the Palestinian Authority was essential to the peace process.

The session was called for by Egypt, on behalf of the Arab League and South Africa, which leads the Non-Aligned Movement of largely developing countries.

Washington's U.N. Ambassador John Negroponte said he vetoed the measure in the 15-nation Security Council last Saturday because it was aimed at isolating Israel politically and did not mention recent suicide bombings against Israelis or those responsible for them.

But the United States, Israel's closest ally, does not have veto power in the General Assembly, as it does in the council, along with the council's four other permanent members, Britain -- China, France and Russia.

The assembly, however, lacks the council's broad powers in the realm of international peace and security. While General Assembly votes merely reflect the will of the international community, Security Council actions can be legally binding under international law.

    APPROVAL EXPECTED

Without the possibility of a veto, the emergency session was expected to approve two draft resolutions.

One, following on Israel's recent military strikes on Palestinian Authority targets and its declaration that Arafat was "irrelevant," would stress that Arafat's administration "remains the indispensable and legitimate party for peace and needs to be preserved fully."

Identical to the resolution vetoed last week by Washington, it would also reaffirm the assembly's "opposition to Israeli settlements in the Occupied Palestinian Territory, including Jerusalem, as illegal and an obstacle to peace."

The second draft resolution would urge the U.N. World Court to clarify the settlements' legal status and set out Israel's legal obligations "concerning its illegal occupation of Palestinian territory, including Jerusalem."

The emergency special session was the fourth in recent years to be called to consider "illegal Israeli actions in Occupied East Jerusalem and the rest of the Occupied Palestinian Territory."

Earlier sessions, which took place in 1997, 1998 and 2000, date back to the establishment of new Israeli settlements in Palestinian territory in 1997.

At least 784 Palestinians and 233 Israelis have been killed since the Palestinian uprising against Israeli occupation erupted in September 2000 after the Middle East peace process stalled.

Israeli troops withdrew from parts of two Palestinian-ruled cities on Thursday as Arafat pressed on with a crackdown on militants.

The partial withdrawals, following a resumption of security talks between Israel and the Palestinians on Wednesday, were a rare sign of progress after Arafat arrested some militants and closed their offices.

Arafat, under intense international pressure to act after a wave of suicide bombings in Israel, has outlawed the military wings of Hamas and other groups and arrested dozens of militants in recent days.

But Israel has accused him of going after low-level activists rather than arresting the militants it most wants to see behind bars while Palestinian militants have vowed to defy Arafat.
