You know, there are many parents on the Board who left the JW religion, and their adult children shun them. They haven't seen their grandchildren in years.

Oh some GOOD NEWS for a change!! We know we all had that crisis of conscience and we think its impossible for it to happen to those we love who are so deeply ensconced. But WE all changed our hearts and as for me...I was a stubborn as a mule where my TRUTH was concerned. So it CAN BE DONE!
YAYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great read Cognac - "keeping up with the program" is a loving thing to put up with from your perspective as you give him time to come to grasp the reality of the situation.
Have you mentioned Ray Franz to him? This usually arouses the curiosity of JW's I have later given the book to, and I'm sure reading the 2 books will accelerate his new learning's...
Much patience is required to keep chipping away and deconstructing things that years of indoctrination have built up
But he is lucky to have you help him - Best wishes to you -

Isn't it interesting how we are very concerened with individuals rather than numbers? People in need log on here and everyone is on it with advice.

Hey Mary... I've been busy trying to get this house fixed up, running a business, dealing with raising a damn dachshund who ate my kitchen floor and terrorizes the neighborhood... You know, LIFE! :) Good to see you're still kickin'!
