Oh and if you ever want to see a bunch of rednecks lose their ever-lovin' minds......just play Sweet Home Alabama in a crowd. Don't forget to turn it up.

Let the idiots make fun of Alabama. They don't know what they are talking about. Because of their ignorance maybe they will keep their skanky asses out of my state.
Amen, sister, AMEN!!!

Thank you, Restrangled.
Farkel posted some obscure info about that song earlier this week.
I'll try to find it.

Here it is:
In reply to the anwers to two of my questions:
After the second World War ended, there was a big housing shortage in the USA. A company in Mobile Alabama started making inexpensive metal pre-fabricated homes which could be moved. The last name of the man who started the company was "Sweet." The term "Mobile Homes" came not from the fact they can be moved, but that they were manufactured in Mobile, Alabama. The original radio jingle used the term "Sweet's Homes, Alabama." Source: Scopes.com
As for Kentucky: All of those things happened because in the 1980's the State of Kentucky was near bankrupt. In order to generate revenue, they passed a law that anyone who used the word "Kentucky" in a profit-making enterprise had to pay royalties to the State each time the word was used. Neil Diamond quickly calculated that the roylties he received each time "Kentucky Woman" was played were less than the royalties he would have to pay the State of Kentucky. In the 1990's, Kentucky realized they shot themselves in the foot with that idiotic law and repealed it. Source: Scopes.com

You're more than a mile south of Tennessee, right Dinah?
It's all good.
