Birmingham was childhood home to my brother in law and his cousin Patsy Neal. She grew up, changed her name to Fannie Flag and penned Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistlestop Cafe. Without Birmingham, we wouldn't have the movie Fried Green Tomatoes. The secret's in the sauce, so they say.

Believe it or not, we don't all really dress like that. The Azalea Trail Maids are in demand all over the country. I hear they dressed in regular clothes at least once, to have this picture snapped.....> Azalea Trail Maids I remember them from the parades when I was a child.
