If that is the case Jesus was a deluded liar and a mad man making the claims he did.
LOL. I wouldn't be surprised. Madness and genious often go hand in hand.

I'd love to continue the discussion but it seems like I'm locked out of this thread. I can't see any of the responses

Well some though He was mad back in His own day!
The issue of are the words of Jesus truth or lies is paramount though.
You need to read them and come to your own conclusion.
All the best,

Dear Stephen/chalam,
If you insist that a person needs to be a Christian to be saved, then indeed there is a great need for a fantastic teaching and preaching campaign to go on throughout the earth, why is Jesus not instigating one ?
I know of the sterling efforts of various christian organizations, excluding JW's who do not preach the Gospel, but it is a losing battle, more are born than can be converted.

I'm back bc
By being confused or deceived. I was a sincere Christian as a JW in the sense that I fully believed I was following Christ the way he wanted. Obviously I was wrong. But I believed wholeheartedly that I was right. The moment I stopped believing it was right, I left. But it took 20 years for that to happen.
Well, I would say you were a sincere JW. JWs fear the WT not the God of the bible. JWs have faith in the WT and it's teachings, not the bible or Christ. If you are a Christian drop the works and rest in what Christ has done. Chalam
I agree! It is written all over the bible.
Not everyone gets called. Salvation is only a free gift to those whom He calls

He did didn't He?!
Matthew 28:19-20 (New International Version)
19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."
As for those who miss the campaign, I feel they will get a chance, just like the people mentioned here 1 Peter 3:18-20 1 Peter 4:5-7
That said, Paul says this Romans 1:20 It is a tricky area, I do not have all the answers, no one does but God Himself and we leave it in His capable hands :)

I humbly disagree. Never before has it been easier to reach the far flung places of the planet. Air travel, communications, media and technology is at a staggering level unlike any other time in history. I can communicated the gospel to anyone with an internet connection on the planet from my armchair.
Here goes
"Non believers, this is for you! Revelation 22:17 Isaiah 55 John 4"
The bible says this so I don't think it is a hopeless task.
Matthew 24:14 (New International Version)
14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.

We are on tricky ground. I agree with the statement. However, how do you reconcile that with a verse like this?
1 Timothy 2:3-4 (New International Version)
3 This is good, and pleases God our Savior, 4 who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.
All the best,
Stephen

I think you need to ask, how does "a sincere Christian" get into the wrong group?
Deputy Dog,
I have and the answer is simple. They are like Adam and if things do not work out then they have someone else to blame.
