There is a passage in Matthew where Jesus says that two people wil be workingt he field and one will be taken aways, and so forth, must have been from there they got the idea that there would be some left behind, that and revelation.

It is much like the method used by a certain beloved cult to "prove" that Jesus is Michael or that some pedantic old men in Brooklyn channel Jovah's latest pronouncements.
