Good thread!
if you ask and first don't receive, then keep asking until you do receive.
I agree with Sylvia :)
Luke 11:9-13 (New International Version)
9 "So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. 10 For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.
11 "Which of you fathers, if your son asks for a fish, will give him a snake instead? 12 Or if he asks for an egg, will give him a scorpion? 13 If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!"
You need to keep an open mind how God will respond. You will feel the pull of the Spirit. ATJ is describing this spiritual restlessness in his thread. That is the Holy Spirit. Sometimes it will go away, other times it will be strong. I remember telling the Holy Spirit to leave me alone in my bathroom one day! This was a prophecy that was for me from 20 years ago and describes what I am talking about
I will pursue you no matter what you do and I will plague you with My Spirit, not in order to discomfort but to bring you back to myself.
For I have a heart for you, says God, an immense heart of love beyond your understanding, but it is not without the bounds of appreciation and understanding on your part that I will work out a work in your life that will amaze you. God will talk to you in all kinds of ways and all kinds of situations. Look out for the "coincidences" too, they usually aren't :)
All the best,
Stephen
