Thank you BE for the update... And so so sorry for this awful even to happen to this brother!! That is so extremely sad. I feel so sad in my heart for hearing this. Like you said allot of ppl on this board just don't know how to respond to something so tragic. And it's hard to see if it's true or not when JW are warned not to go to sites. I know I am deeply moved by this! I have my attention on this topic more then ever. I pray to God for justices! Many on this board have gone through so much and some have a hard time dealing with it, far more then me I think. I find this place as a 'safe haven' sota speak.

My love and sympathy to this Bethal Brother!! Please keep us updated!

DANIEL-P- Thanks for the communication from Mel. I truly believe he is handling this the smartest way possible. He is keeping his counsel to himself and waiting for the opportune time to reveal what he is accomplishing. That's what makes me follow my instincts and believe this guy is legitimate, for sure. The statement that he is , " prepared to deliver my experience in an effective manner " indicates he wants to accomplish something bigger than just get justice for himself. He is seeing the bigger picture of what he can accomplish

The chairman/ PO sent him a certified letter with a blank sheet of paper inside; to supposedly invite him to a Judicial Committee.

    Bethelite Elder,

IMO, this simple phrase reveals your ignorance of how this organization works. Summoning someone to a JC is informal, and certainly not by means of a certified letter. It dismisses you as a credible poster, let alone a bethelite elder.

Not at all. Remember the elders we're dealing with here aren't going to be brainiacs. Tales of them doing something sneaky and stupid does not discredit this post.

Imagine - of the JC one elder volunteers to do the invitation of the defendant. This guy has it out for the guy and just wants to DF him. He thinks he'll be clever and make sure the guy doesn't show up to defend himself like he has successfully done in the past. But if the defendant appeals the decision on the basis that he was never invited, the elder can show the certified receipt showing that he DID invite the man, which of course the other elders (also not brainiacs) would accept on face value. Case closed.

Missing Link, you are right on point and knowledgeable about organization procedures. Thanks for covering that point, I could not have said it better myself. It is almost as if you witnessed this situation first hand.

    aligot,

Sending a certified letter to inform someone of a JC meeting with hopes of tripping them up later...totally believable.

Sorry for the blank posts lately. Ive been having issues with my browser and this site.

Anyway, I was saying that I agree with flipper. By Mel's commujnications with me, he has shown himself to be methodical, careful, and not given to sensationalism with his story.

You shouldn't be so dismissive of someone you don't know, and of procedure YOU aren't very familiar with. Summoning someone to a JC IS FORMAL. By the person's response to that summons, they can be DFd.

THere sure are a lot of people on here who like to piss on other people and call into question their qualifications. Ironically, it's these very people who are often the least qualified to render an opinion on anything about the SOciety's procedures and policies.

Did you ever serve at Bethel? Were you ever an elder? For how long? ... Yeah, that's what I thought.
