In times past, it wasn't that unusual to send a certified letter to someone. Even Franz was dealt with in a similar way.
It does make you wonder why some here dismiss someone so easily?

Who is this Aligot Ignoramous? A Judicial Committee Meeting is NOT informal. Sending a certified letter is standard committee procedure to allow a Judicial Committee to DF someone in absentia !!!!
There are plenty of underhanded, weasel elders who will do stuff like what happened to this brother. Don't kid yourself otherwise. I know firsthand......

Sorry, Daniel-p, I just can't believe that an elder, PO at that, can summon to a JC with a certified letter. Even if it were so, I can't see a PO insert a blank sheet in the envelope, because :
- he will have to report to his hierarchy about his handling of the JC .
- whatever one may say, he has a conscience.
You are free to believe it, I am free not to, according to what BE writes, I don't have to know him personally for that.
Besides, as I posted earlier, BE has hardly delivered on this site the insider knowledge that one would expect from a bethelite elder. All that he has written could have previously been gleaned on this site or on others, I find that his posts are just regurgitation. Can't help, not meaning to be provocative or insulting.
My God, you are naive! The last time I heard about a certified letter used, it was used by an elder to disfellowship a teenager - who was previously molested by his son and the whole thing kept from the police! I'm not making this up!

Man, nothing gets by you. We were all trying to pull the wool over your eyes! Now you got us, please don't hurt us!
Whats the latest on this?
Daniel,
That reasoning is very solid, Bethelite Elder is not a Bethelite or an Elder, in fact he is the security guy at the house WBTS built in San Diego for the return of the Saints. At least he has job security right, good job! Also Penny2 is not really a penny or 2 cents, and flipper is not really a dolphin, and shopaholic has never ever been shopping.
And based on that same reasoning, we now have to question whether those claims about child abuse among the organization are true?
Because as aligot put it,
Elders
- he will have to report to his hierarchy about his handling of the JC .
- whatever one may say, he has a conscience.
so surely no elder or PO would do wrong-------
and this story about Mel was taken from an earlier post too
Does this man still believe WT is "the truth"?
Is that causing him any hesitation?
Just for the record, I DO NOT resemble a palm tree in any way......
For the record, Mickey Mouse is now very confused.
Like most Brits every time I read "Mel Smith" I think of this guy:
