Woods, I would venture a guess that safety laws are not a liberal or conservative issue. Probably a woman's issue to be honest.

Beks, as I have commented to you before - I still hold a deep and unhealable grudge against Ralph Nader for taking out his psychotic frenzy on my first car - the Chevrolet Corvair. I bought mine (1967) AFTER writing my senior term paper in high school on his book "Unsafe at Any Speed", which was a total crock.

Nader is a socialist/communist in the name of consumer activist. Most greatly oppressive "safety" issues have left wing political roots.
