Ya'll just don't know how to use 'em. They're compact and easy to move around.
Now, creativehoney did hit on something. I've noticed, in older hotels that the outlets are more worn and plugs don't stay in as well. But new outlets are just fine.
We use 120V for standard household current. I think ya'll use 220 or 240? That makes a difference in the wiring/plug/outlet.
