*raises hand*
I know the Randy one!!! yeah baby! lol
Yea...one little mention of forking and you get all randy...
Who's Randy? Boy, that would get confusing in a conversation between an American and a Brit.
American: Hi, I'm Michael.
Brit: Cheerio, names William.
American: (sees beautiful Brit girl) She's gorgeous!
Brit: I'm randy.
American: I thought you said your name was William.
Brit: It is.
American: You said you were Randy.
Brit: I am. Aren't you?
American: So, your name is William Randy?
Brit: No, chap, just William, old boy. Aren't you randy?
American: No, I told you my name is Michael.
Brit: Yes.
American: Huh?
Brit: Wot?
If we are to be truly unified, as per the thread title, then you Americans really must learn to pronounce things properly.
You utter words with no appreciation of their etymology, and therefore you go ahead and spell them incorrectly. We see many examples on this board of total ignorance of what a word means, or even a whole expression.
i.e "fertle" when you mean some land, or indeed a female, is fertile. Pedophile as a spelling must mean someone obsessed with feet, paedophile on the other hand means an abuser of children hiding in the WT organization.
Some on here have said " I could care less " when they mean "I could not care less" etc.
Let us work towards a common language ! Why doesn't everybody be like me, and speak fluent bollocks ?

Wobble, you need to lay off the punk. LOL (I just saw that means weed....lol)
Well, I don't like how Brits pronounce the word "missile".
American: MISS-ILL
Brit: MISS-AISLE
Here we put gas in our car.
You put petrol in your car.

I thought Buddy Hackett and Mickey Rooney were hilarious in that movie.
do you southeners have anything by which you are referred to, or are you just good old Americans?
LOL...depends on who you ask.
Most non-Southerners don't understand us, so they make fun of us.
Ahhhh phooey! Nice save UC! You Brits put Rubbers on your feet. We put them somewhere else.
The weirdest thing is how Americans pronounce aluminium.
How do I know then Sacs, apart from the context, based just on pronunciation, that you are not talking about the RC "missal" that would help me through a Mass ?
