    Thankyou mr flipper,

I feel the need to know what my teanage kids are being taught. Hopefull my boy is too busy thinking about cars and girls to hear it!

QUESTION; are the study articles also in the public WT but diluted? or does the public version not have those articles at all?

    cheers, Oz

It is articles like these that make me so mad now. Once your eyes are open to the manipulation it does grate on your nerves. But until recently I would have seen this advice as reasonable and loving. I would think this is for my own protection because apostates are so smart they can cause me to question my faith. This seems so ridiculous now after all if something is true nothing anyone says to the contrary will change it.

This reminds me of the analogy of the spring the GB uses to describe how to give youths their freedom and greater responsibility. The idea is if you try to keep a spring under tension in your hand you will eventually have to let it go and it will spring out of control. However if you open your hand slowly the spring stays in place. The congregation is a spring under pressure there is no evidence that the society thinks the congregation will ever be grown up enough to make their own decisions so no wonder so many rebel. Doesn't an unreasonable parent often say I'm doing this because I love you, or do this because I tell you to?

As an aside does anyone remember the talk "Responsible Childbearing in this time of the end" I know a lot of couples who married the same time as my husband and I who put off having children because of that talk. Funnily enough we all started our families approx 12 years later. So perhaps it takes that long for the body to deprocess a GB instruction. Come to think of it I wouldn't be surprised if we were due for another talk like this soon.

The 3rd party terminology often used by the WTS is clearly evident here. When it is rewritten in the 1st party , the level of control becomes a lot clearer...

"Cooperate fully with us. You need to examine your response to the direction you receive from us. Over the years , for example, you have received pointed direction on dress and grooming , entertainment , and IMPROPER USE OF THE INTERNET . Do you carefully heed (our) good counsel so that you are spiritually protected ?

Some might reason that areas such as entertainment and dress and grooming are personal matters. For you , though, personal preferences SHOULD NOT be the sole determining factor when making decisions.

The spirit that now operates in the" sons of disobedience " is so widespread that it is like the air we breathe. That spirit can cause you to think that you do not need guidance from us . You need to guard against developing a spirit of independence (from us) . By word or action, MAY YOU NEVER CHALLENGE US , (as we are) the channel of communication that Jehovah is using today. On the contrary, you should cherish your privilege to cooperate with us. And should you not strive to be obedient and submissive to those taking the lead in your local congregations ?"

Well done Dozy. Your explanation and translation really makes one see the mind and body control they are seeking from their slaves.

    Thank you.

Well Said Nugget - I think we all felt like that most of the time.

OUTLAW always tells it like it is - these SOB's love to cut Jesus out of the picture. Didn't Jesus WARN against people like this?

Didn't Jesus come to demolish a system where a bunch of old power-hungry slave drivers tried to run every aspect of peoples' lives?

They have replaced themselves as the mediator. Listen to us or else!

I think George Harrison says it best:

    Think For Yourself

I've got a word or two
To say about the things that you do
    You're telling all those lies
About the good things that we can have
    If we close our eyes

Do what you want to do
And go where you're going to
    Think for yourself
'Cause I won't be there with you

Anyhow, quite seriously more clear evidence that the WT exalt themselves to the position of Christ.

    Agreed!

This is blatant thought control cloaked under the mantle of "we care about your spirituality."

They can kiss the blackness of my ... heel that is uplifted against them!

I treasure my place in the congregation about as much as they would treasure getting swine flu--which is none. And, I do not intend to ever let the Filthful and Disgraceful Slavebugger dictate anything.

As for entertainment, I do what I feel like. If I want to listen to rap that glorifies using and selling drugs, I will. If I want to listen to sun-worship music, I will. They can tell me not to--and I say "I will if I feel like it". The same goes for going online--I went to a few blatantly apostate web sites on purpose. I dress as I see fit--according to the weather, and without giving a f*** about whether it meets their standards or not.

Treasure my 'place' in the congregation, really? What place was that, I might ask? I didn't consider myself as really having a place which is okay now that I look at it.

I didn't fit in. I am a single, independent woman who works full time supporting myself. I heard enough stupid comments about this to fill a book. It was even suggested I quit my decent job to do housecleaning. I refused and I resisted their stupid attempts at meddling and control and I kept elders at a distance. The whole mindset sounded as if they expected me to jump from a plane without a parachute. Mind you, I would never jump from a plane WITH a parachute. Imagine the nerve of these idiots to think I was going to pursue poverty when they weren't supporting me. When I look at the circumstances some single women in the religion are in it makes me angry. The ones I know are impoverished and on psych meds.

Yeah, obey the slave driver class. I DON'T think so.

<sarcasm>Ok, I'm convinced. I'll go back to the kingdom hall now. It was a privilege to have them shit on me for 20 years. I'm sorry I didn't realize it at the time. Must have been the bad influence of those dirty apostate bastards.</sarcasm>
