I take colonics with shampoo. Makes my colon shiney and bouncy. Sometimes I skip the conditioner.

Honestly, the silicones are HORRIBLE for hair (frizz tamers, wax, pomade, shine liquids) all because 'cones' tend to dry OUT hair int he long run. They only COAT your hair, not actually moisturize it. So the book says to find conditioners w/o cones - and the BEST one I've found (this may sound cheap as hell) but it's Suave Coconut Cond! $1 a bottle, but it works AMAZ?ING with my curly hair. Oh,and no Treseme Naturals has come out with a cond that is silicone free....I use that too.

I have a dandruff condition exacerbated by nerve producing exema. Once, our shower broke and we couldn't wash our hair (can't lean over sink due to extreme vertigo). After 2 weeks, my hair was much softer and my scalp was healing itself. It was healing the scratches caused by itchy dandruff. Could be that I'm sensitive to smelly 'poo.

Poo-less is not an option for some.

Yuck, moshe!
Did the baking soda/vinegar thing. Mixed 2 tbs baking soda with 1 c water, poured it over my scalp, let it sit for 5 minutes while in the shower. Rinsed out w/lots of water.
Mixed 1/2 c apple cider vinegar with 1/2 c water, poured it over the scalp, rinsed once.
Apparently you can add essential oils if you like scents.
So far, not too bad. It is definitely curlier, they say because the chemicals in shampoo straighten the hair.

Yeah, me too.
You want to be sure not to rinse it out with very hot water though,
