This article reminds me of the time my JW mother told me with the upmost concern and sincerity that she was so glad we were in "the truth" as "the world" would have "eaten me alive" and I "wouldn't have been able to cope".

More than 10 years in "the world" has made me a strong person emotionally and mentally. It has also provided me with the ability to think for myself and I have experienced personal growth through making mistakes and learning from them. Yes, "the world" has made me a better person.

They always use emotionally weak people for this type of article. I'm sure "Tanya" is one of those "woe is me" victims you so frequently encounter these days. Get on with it girl!!

That entire article is a disingenuous, purposely misleading collection of lies, half truths, and paranoid images from Jaws.

I can't believe I used to make "profound" comments on WT's like this. I can just see in many congregations the idiot who is going to research sharks for 5 hours that week for their 1 minute comment that most will tune out anyway. Yup, a SR dub will talk about sharks in the first two paragraphs, before the indoctrination sets in.

I feel sick, seriously I think I am going to be sick. I got halfway through and couldn't take any more. I would have laughed except I can see various people I know taking this in without question.

Whats more funny is that as wife and I are keen scuba divers and have dived with sharks!

Obviously the writing department have never seen finding nemo! Don't they know sharks talk with an australian accent!

JWs choose to only play/stay in their little plastic small wading pool, with stagnant water and their own pool becoming full of their own germs.

Here they could be free to run up and down the beach, with fun, free flowing waves and even swimming truly in plenty of safe swimming beaches and boating of all sorts with safety measures in the beautiful beaches and ocean.

There is plenty of good, healthful, joyful, safe, meaningful, spiritual, educational life outside of the the limiting, unhealthful, JW wading pool.
