Fear mongering (or scaremongering) is the use of fear to influence the opinions and actions of others towards some specific end. The feared object or subject is sometimes exaggerated, and the pattern of fear mongering is usually one of repetition , in order to continuously reinforce the intended effects of this tactic, sometimes in the form of a vicious circle .

11-14 I have a lot more to say about this, but it is hard to get it across to you since you've picked up this bad habit of not listening. By this time you ought to be teachers yourselves, yet here I find you need someone to sit down with you and go over the basics on God again, starting from square one—baby's milk, when you should have been on solid food long ago! Milk is for beginners, inexperienced in God's ways; solid food is for the mature, who have some practice in telling right from wrong. EVERYTHING a witness says and does has to be distilled by the WTBS first. Of course they can't venture too far away, the WTBS is making sure they stay dependent children, not growing up, not able to care for themselves, not able to stand before God guided by their own conscience. This Watchtower article is in direct conflict with this scripture.

What a contrast in outlook there is betweenthose who are part of the Christian
congregation and those who are not!

Just think what would become of you ifyou were to abandon the protective environment

When the Witness magazine’s says stuff like above “Christiancongregation” it just makes me sick, or that Jehovah is talking to them only and they are somehow special, this kind of talk is an example of mind grooming. It reminds me of the scripture referring to the last days that they will be self assuming, haughty. There is a complete lack of humility with the printed material.

Everyone at Bethel is imperfect, so association needs careful thought. Young ones or recent arrivals do well not to limit their association solely to their peers. Those who might display a tendency to complain or to think negatively do not make for upbuilding company in Bethel or in the congregation

So are they really the safe haven. Does the above suggest that there is no place that is safe. Must everyone be suspect? Just depends on the point they want to make as to what bullshit they write.

TRUTHSEEKER- Wow. Just wow. Incredible. So let me get this straight - just because Shechem boinked Dinah - that means EVERY non-witness or " worldly " man will do the same to JW women who venture outside the cult ? In fact , after being a witness for 44 years- I'd venture to say more non-witnesses have higher standards and principles than WITNESSES ! At least the ones I knew ! I simply " shudder at the thought " of being around witnesses again ! This is all mind controlling drivel designed to control witnesses. They really are writing dumber and dumber. Here we are supposed to believe that this is true, not just and illustration. Do they discourage the kind of vacation that would allow for this experience. Definitely. Does this "elder" use the kind of sound judgement that would be a benefit to the congregation? No. In the very next article here is what the congregation offers. "Most Christians,however, are struggling with problems of
one kind or another. Some of them may need help to understand the deeper things of God'sWord. Others are sick or depressed, or they may be suffering the consequences of unwise decisions. And we all have to live in an ungodly world." So the "safe spiritual refuge--the Christian congregation" might not be so great after all.

Around 1973-1974 I served in Central America. We spent a lot of time snorkel of the

coral reef. On one occasion while snorkeling I venture out too far, I look down and every thing

drop, just deep blue sea, no one was around I was alone. I dove down a few feet and was swimming

with A school of large fish, they scatter and I saw why, A shark, not A large one but A shark.

When I return to the states I told this story on a number of occasion.. The story is the same except

the wife. When I saw the beauty of the sea and the coral reef and even the shark and made me think

who ever created this earth did A nice job..
