Well said PSacramento! Sorry for repeating what you agreed with.

So, does anyone still think that Jesus didn't refer to himself as God? I wonder...

    I am not a trinitarian...but:

God is the term we use when referring to The Essence of YHWH, when we think God we think ALL the God is.

Jesus is God in the sense that he is of the same essence of God, thatis what John meant and what Paul echos more than a few times.

That does NOT make Jesus THE GOD and the trinity doesn't say that either, as much as the JW's try to make people believe that it does.

Jesus is God in the samw way we are Humans, he was begotten on God and all else was created VIA Jesus.

Did Jesus refere to himself as God? well if you mean YHWH, nope, but f you mean if he referred to himself as ONE with God, yes and by forgiving the sins of others and judging them and being our saviour he verififed that he, Jesus, is What God is, Jesus in actions, far more than in words, verififes that "in him exists the fullness of deity".

Jesus is God for Jesus can't be anything else, he is not YHWH.

Just like a child is human but not its father.

    John 8:58?

    JOHN 8:58

Is in harmony with Jesus being with God from the beginning and all thinsg b eing created throguh him.

The oneness ( perfect union) of Jesus and YHWH is crucial for what John is trying to make clear:

You can't judge Jesus withotu juding God and you can't accept God without accepting Jesus.

There isn't one without the other.

No matter how much of himslef Jesus "lost" when he became Man( In essence and body), he was still God ( in essence and spirit).

PSacramento wrote- God is the term we use when referring to The Essence of YHWH, when we think God we think ALL the God is.

Jesus is YHWH. He is part of YHWH. He is not the Father, we all know that as Jesus prayed to the Father, but he is the Word. The Word is YHWH. He gave up his perogotives of being equal to God to become the man Jesus Christ. Son of Man, Son of God. That is why he taught that we are to be baptised in the name of the Father, the Son and Holy Ghost. Scripture does not say the name of the Father, the name of the Son, the name of the Holy Ghost. There is one name for the three. So I must disagree with your analogy.

Also, again, if Jesus was not refering himself as YHWH, why were the Jews wanting to kill him?

See, when we say Jesus is God, that is one thing, but to say that Jesus is YHWH, we are on the edge of saying that Jesus is God the father.

So we must be very careful with that.

The oneness of God, Jesus and The HS is indisputable and plainly stated, God is God, Jesus is begotten of God and as such, is God ( what else can he be?) and the HS is God's spirit and as such, is God, for what else can it be?

I personally believe that YHWH is the Creator, but not the Father.

What a Day that will be when we find out for sure!

However, we have enough to go on right now, if we proceed out of faith and love.

I agree Sylvia, YHWH is all of God and that includes Jesus and the Father, who is a different person.

Also, again, if Jesus was not refering himself as YHWH, why were the Jews wanting to kill him?

Because he was making himself equal to God.

Whether we agree with God's possible Triune nature or not, one thing is for sure, Jesus brought a whole "New God" to the Game and the earthy organization of his time was NOT happy about it.
