ZOIKS- Hey thanks. Yeah, I'd like to think I have a hell of a lot more common sense than his JW mother. Believe me, he and I are close.
SWEET PEA- Yes, the cult personality is alive and well in my ex-wife. But my son is smart. Check out the letter he wrote his mom on the OTHER thread I started !
OUTLAW- It is degrading that his mom thinks he made a deal with the Devil. I think you hit it pretty accurately- she is the one flying around on the broomstick.
RESTRANGLED- Exactly. His JW mom dissed everything he brought up. She is a passive aggressive person who tries coming off as sweet. Pretty twisted. But check out my other thread with his response. He did good.
MANINBLACK- Yes, my son is enjoying life and it is going great for him. His JW mom has ALWAYS laid it on thick and tried to make him feel guilty. It's ridiculous. But he is strong
Flipper, when I was readingall the other posts I thought no way was Flipper going to answer each individually...but you did.
It shows that dispite the WTBTS you are a warm and caring person...
Snoozy
Well, it sounds like your wife could write for the Watchtower!! Gag. Sorry, I know she's your wife and you love her and that, but you need to tell her to get a grip. My mother is the same. She spent and hour telling me how unhappy and uncontent I was and that I was just going to be some unhappy, malcontent, washed-up alcoholic by the time I was her age. (Of course, I was tempted to point out that by the time I was her age, Armegeddon would be here so I wouldn't be her age ever, according to her.) Then she told me that my full of BS older sister (who's decided to come back to the JWs for like the fifth time) is soooooo happy now, has LOTS of friends (apparently, I don't) is totally off her antidepressants and everything is all smiles, love and happiness now. I guess Jah takes care of chemical imbalances as well.
damn it to all hell. you gotta love the part about putting memorial invitations on craigslist hahahah where at? in the prostitute yourself to a printing organization pretending to be a relgion.... aka CULT section?
its times like these that you just gotta thank the good lord that you can see through the brainwashing. cause many of us could have been spouting that level of bulls*** just a few years ago.
That makes me sick. I have put up with so many of the same conversations myself it know it it a common JW mindset.
The bit about the garden of Eden irritates me that people feel to need to have to tie ancient mythology (and a future hope of paradise) with their current lives rather than just enjoy present life for what it is.
I read your sons response before I saw this post...I wish I had just read yous sons response and left it at that.
Thats a nice way of saying your ex is a brain washed dolt, who has no business in the life of a guy like your son.

Good - frikkin' - grief...
She's talking DOWN to him as though he were FIVE YEARS OLD!!!!
I'd say, apply the ol' Watchtower edicts - "NO communication with an active JW unless there are VITAL family issues that CANNOT be resolved in ANY other way!!!"
But then, I'm the one who won't talk to my JW family, even tho they DO try to communicate with me...
Some people like your son's mother can do more to keep people out of the JW's than all of us combined could ever do.
She has blisters from passing out Memorial invitations- HA. You bet, and a fat ass from all the donut shop breaks.
Well, I don't know her, maybe she does have blisters. I wonder if even one person came to her Hall from the invitation campaign, that is one person who wouldn't have come anyway but heard about it from the campaign. I know the answer to that question for the vast majority of congs.
