But the women at work (mostly minorities) that get knocked up 3 times paid... 2k got and got 6k back... hmmmm... I guess I am paying for her kids. I would love to have kids but apparently I was too responsible...

    ------------------

I hear you crying from here. Did I read you right? Apparently those women work? And you still slam them???

I was listening to an interview on the radio on the way home, can't recall the author's name, but he's a young white kid from NY, who decided to go 'underground' and work at laborious jobs around America for the past year. This put him in very close contact with illegals, legals, American citizens of all color and ages, and some interesting employers.

What did he find out? The same thing anyone who is fully aware of the USA knows - there is a whole subculture of working poor, extreme poverty that millions upon millions of people exist in every day. Those people are every bit as deserving as you and I. They work for a living and regardless of whether or not they don't work at a job that pays them well, or a job that's prestigious - they work. They get up and go to work, they get a paycheck, they try to do the best they can - they aren't laying around with their hand out. They work. They are the millions of poor or average middle class that in this country earn $35,000 and under for a family. They work. They are not deadbeats.

This author kid worked in the fields picking lettuce among the illegals and as he said, it is a skilled job that he still hadn't mastered after 2 months. Physically demanding work, extremely demanding. Then he worked for a chicken plant in Alabama amongst American citizens and illegals. The work was dangerous and hard - so hard and so demanding, that the people leave it and go to Walmart for a bit and then because they can make a buck more, they head back to the chicken plant. Physically demanding and dangerous because of knives used manually on the job. Lots of injuries but it's what people do to survive. Then he went to NY and got a job as a courier and as a worker in a small family owned operation - paid $4.00 an hour and took a lot of abuse. That's was one common theme that he found - a lot of abuse from employers who exploit the poor that work for them because the poor are too afraid to speak up about anything in case they lose their job. They often work 3 jobs because you can't live in NY on $4.00/hour...and in fact he said the many employers, his were Asian he said, would only hire illegals because they knew an illegal would work for $2.00 and be too scared to leave or complain. Some legal immigrants were telling them they were illegal, just to get a job.

Asked what he thought America needed after a year working with laborers in all the jobs he had? His answer: better wages; unions; better working conditions..

So every time I hear someone bitch about lazy ass people who aren't paying taxes - and those lazy ass people are working their lazy asses off and paying taxes just like the next guy - I think of how small those who reign supreme really seem to be. sammieswife.

The tea party has come to us; that what happens when you are a government worker in the capital. It is a little difficult to find a parking spot but other than that it has been boring. I guess they aren't happy when certain republicans show up, except Palin.

No, but when they came to my town over the weekend, I went to support the Tea Party opposers.

1st, Paying 2k in taxes and getting a refund is not a tax break, it's taking money from one person that can invest 50 cents in a rubber and giving it to someone that refuses you.

Sammie Lee, I respect everyone that works even if they are not paid well.. Been there, done it and I scratched, clawed, sacrificed to get to where I am. I would have gotten there a lot quicker if I wasn't supporting everyone else's good time.

But we are getting off topic this is about the 10th amendment....

The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.

I do not dismiss that a lot of people in this country want to have their taxes raised and want to support the poverty stricken breeders that have not discovered the miracle of birth control. There is a way to get what they want... You get together and do all this stuff on the state level... I believe Massachusettes already has healthcare for everyone... Why don't people just move there or ask their state legislature to enact similar programs. For the Federal government to do this is illegal and tyranny. That is why I will be at the TEA party, not because I am racist or ignorant.

So what it really comes down to, cagefighter, is your paranoia about these "poverty stricken breeders" that are apparently taking money right out of your pocket. Oh Noes!!!

You, sir, are delusional. Sure, any society will have free-loaders, but that is a fact of all societies, all communities, and all civilizations throughout time, and nothing you do will change it. So instead of blubbering emphatic about "those people," why not try to develop some empathy for those who are honestly struggling to make ends meet?

Of course, you really could just be referring to inner city blacks. In that case, you're a racist bigot and the Tea Party needs you to join their bigoted, ignorant, self-serving, un-Christian ranks.

Daniel obviously you acknowledge my point but you can not disagree politely or with intelligence so you must call someone who is himself a minority a bigot... You have no idea who you are talking to sir.

I am a minority and I am sorry if I don't fit into your box my living in the ghetto and having kids I can't support.

That being said I believe in freedom. Everyone regardless of race should feel free to be as poor and irresponsible with their reproductive habits as they want. Just don't come asking me to foot the bill and we are OK.

Many states do more for the poor, I could care less. It's just not the job of the Federal Government to take from the rich and give to the poor. It's against the 10th amendment which you have no rebuttal for obviously. If a state wants to have a massive welfare/healthcare plan they can if they can get it past the people and the state legislature. I have no problem with that.

Take notes on how to construct and argument Daniel, notice I did all of that with calling you one name! There is probably a class at your local community college you can take if you want to learn more before replying.

And on the issue of BUSH, he started a lot of this crap I agree. I spent 30 minutes on the phone with the my congressman's chief of staff who was a republican begging him not to vote for the bank bailout. I don't support anyones irresponsiblity whether they are rich or poor. Any more questions class?

I'm not the one complaining about the so-called "poverty stricken breeders," guy, that was YOU. You're the one that uses thinly-veiled bigoted language referring to people who qualify for welfare or what have you.

The federal government has been taking from the rich and giving to the poor for a loooooonng time, and it ain't gonna change, no matter who is in the oval office. Nearly every country in the world does this to some degree, because public policy which does not re-distribute at least a little leads to plutocracies. Taxes need to be progressive, not regressive, in order to have sustainable democratic societies. You may not like living with the feeling people are taking money right out of your pocket [OH NOES!], but it's better policy. Besides, my point is that that feeling you have--that "poverty stricken breeders" are taking money out of your pocket or whatever--is overblown, exaggerated, and delusional. Stop being so self-centered and be thankful for what you have in this world. Everyone is a car accident, illness, or tragic event away from being piss-poor.

Oh, thanks for the tip on community college. I actually have a masters in public policy though, so I'll pass on that.

Now get your ass out there and start protesting! Or are you all talk and no walk? The Tea Partiers need that vacuous vitriol!!!

As we can see. The democrats and their "wild spending" is good for this country, whereas the "fiscal responsibility" of every republican, and as we all know, a "Tea Partier", is just a less educated version of the same, is universally bad.
