It's funny this thread is on it's 4th page and no one can do say anything but how bad and evil the tea partiers are. I agree that there are a lot of problems I just don't believe government is the solution. If it is it needs to be on the state level. Is there anyone that has called me a racist that can read the 10th amendment and explain why the federal government is doing this?
I got no problem with a church, group or state that wants to take care of everyone that wants more. My question is why am I forced to support others? When did anyone ask me? Do you remember voting on it because I don't!
And yes my numbers are right on the Taxes... Fill out a 1040 ez with 3 kids and making 40k a year... You don't not only pay no taxes you get money!!!! That is welfare my friends not a tax cut.
I apologize for my mathmatical blunder... 7000 - 1100 equals 5900... I make 40k a year... I applied for financial aid for school a year ago I was told I had 10k a year for college... LOL... I offered to split it if they found it... Life is fair or easy and government won't fix it. All it can do is give us all the same chance to suceed not be the great equalizer.

Like I said before - typical JWN political thread.
Bring in the usual suspects.
This thread evidences the desperate flailing going on in the American left right now. They are out of arguments, so they fall back on phony accusations of racism. I hope they keep it up. Electorally, this will damage them for years to come.

All I can say is that I hope you are still in school because your comprehension skills are sorely lacking.
You got no problem with the church etc that wants to take care of the poor? If you believe what you keep chanting about being forced to support others then go back and re-think that statement.
Churches are tax exempt. They own valuable property. Pay no taxes. Some churches oblige you to join their ministry in order to avail yourself of their charity. Some offer no charity. Some like the WTS offer nothing and like some employers that pay their employee's diddly squat in wages, they do hand out counseling and/or forms for their members to apply for government services.
I don't go to church, but my taxes will rise to incorporate the services the church uses. I'm forced to support them..so are you..through your taxes. Ditto FEMA. Or do you feel even less obligation to help people like those in Katrina in times of emergencies? They had their hand out...sure a whole bunch died and perhaps you are one of those who blame them for their own sorry mess -perhaps you didn't vote to pay for firefighters either or the police.
There are buildings that are used to assist with people who are physically and mentally challenged..sometimes, money is used from taxes to make sidewalks and buildings appropriate for those with disabilities. Your taxes go to those undeserving peons as well because for all intents and purposes, they have their hand out. Considering the fact that the medical community keep increasing and expanding the mental health net (there are something like 5,000 disorders now) and all of these might be considered disabling in one way or another, and considering that one of those might even be one of those poverty breeders you find repulsive, are you against your tax dollars going to the disabled? sammieswife.
Fema? Katrina? Church Taxes? (on top of Tim McVeigh, NRA, and whatever else?)
Are we just a little off topic?
so they fall back on phony accusations of racism
But the women at work (mostly minorities) that get knocked up 3 times
Had an x-jw friend and his wife go to a Tea Party yesterday. His son got in the last jab 'Dad, it would mean more if you VOTED'
Does that make me racist because I point out the obvious? White people go to college use birth control and have good jobs and new cars... My fellow minorities want to be gangsters and hoes and by the time they get it together around 25 it's too late, they can't fix their lives because they already screwed up and are trying to feed 3 kids with no education and no supportive spouse.... I call it like I see it... My people need to get their crap straight before they go asking for a handout.
BOSTON – Sarah Palin rallied the conservative tea party moveme nt near the scene of its historical inspiration Wednesday, telling Washington politicians that government should be working for the people, not the other way around.
Addressing roughly 5,000 people, the 2008 Republican vice presidential nominee accused President Barack Obama of overreaching with his $787 billion stimulus program. She also criticized the administration's health care, student loan and financial regulatory overhauls.
"Is this what their 'change' is all about?" Palin asked the crowd on a sun-splashed Boston Common. "I want to tell 'em, nah, we'll keep clinging to our Constitution and our guns and religion — and you can keep the change."
Tea partiers planned to meet for a final rally in Washington on Thursday, coinciding with the federal tax-filing deadline. Local events are also planned in Oklahoma, Ohio and other locations.
Palin put her own spin on Tax Day, saying, "We need to cut taxes so that our families can keep more of what they earn and produce, and our mom-and-pops, then, our small businesses, can reinvest according to our own priorities, and hire more people and let the private sector grow and thrive and prosper."
She also played to the crowd by trotting out a trademark line as she lobbied for more domestic energy production .
"Yeah, let's drill, baby, drill, not stall, baby, stall — you betcha," Palin said, though Obama recently proposed to expand drilling off the Atlantic, and Gulf coasts.
