His son got in the last jab 'Dad, it would mean more if you VOTED'

This is what the left fears about the tea party movement - it brings out moderates who may not have voted in the past, but who may well vote in the future.

It's funny this thread is on it's 4th page and no one can do say anything but how bad and evil the tea partiers are.

I sincerely believe that you are sincere, Cagefighter, but if you really believe this you've missed a lot of your own thread. I went back through it and could find no support for your statement above.

I, for one, do not believe that tea partiers are bad people - I believe they have been purposely misled and their words and actions reflect their collective fear. I also believe that the powers behind the Tea Party have used racist memes to influence people who may or may not be racist. Mindless fear can be dangerous. Tim McVeigh killed 168 men women and children and lost his own life for such fears.

Fema? Katrina? Church Taxes? (on top of Tim McVeigh, NRA, and whatever else?)

Are we just a little off topic?

Can't keep up JW? Watching too much Beck and listening to Rush too much? All these links to the topic confusing you? Just asking......sammieswife.

"Is this what their 'change' is all about?" Palin asked the crowd on a sun-splashed Boston Common. "I want to tell 'em, nah, we'll keep clinging to our Constitution and our guns and religion — and you can keep the change."

Did anyone else listening to Palin say this think, "My God, that woman is going to rupture a sinus!"?

She and Bachmann are working overtime to co-opt the TeaPers into the GOP - to the point of talking to their crowds as if they were children. That's got to wear thin for some of them.

This is a movement to get people pissed off at the poor AGAIN (remember when it was all the welfare mom's fault?), to divert attention away from the TRILLION that Bush and his friends gave away to the bankers! Add that to the HALF TRILLION the Reagan/Bush team gave to the bankers in the 80's S&L bailout which we will be paying on for another 7 or so years (the Bush family and friends are bank robbers), the billions if not trillions spent on the Bush led illegal war, and Cheney/Halliburton war profiteering.

Seriously Tea Partiers, if you are going to be mad about spending and taxes, at least be mad at the ones who are actually ripping you off!

Not at all - just don't see what Katrina really has to do with the tea party meetings.

I doubt that tea party people resent natural disaster relief. What they resent is a deliberate socialist welfare state.

I saw a lot of signs that were anti-gay marriage. How exactly does that affect my taxes? I saw some others that were protesting illegal immigration, but I don't know from what country. Is "Maxico" a new country or a corporation that makes feminine hygiene products?

Okay, I admit I laughed when I saw a sign that said" "Teabaggers are against Sodomy!" I had no idea that these protesters were so gay and witty. And hey, whatever sexual acts you practice in private are your own business, you don't have to put it on a sign! I'm cool wiith it.

I saw signs warning me of "youth in Asia" and "socillism" and I have no idea why I should worry about Chinese teenagers killing my grandparents(who are all already dead, so whew!) and is "socillism" some new form of food poisoning?

But, isn't it kind of sadly ironic to take a Thursday off from work to protest your bosses 4% tax increase when you just got an $800 tax break?

I have to admit, did find a few people out there holding signs I could agree with, though...like this guy:
