Needless to say, what;s it like to have sun EVERY day of the year, lol.
Unfortunately, that's a myth, dear av8tor (again, peace to you!). For California in general, but I live in NORTHERN Cali... and although today is BEAUTIFUL... BRILLIANT... not a cloud in the sky and a balmy 72-74 degrees... it was only a week or so ago when I thought I would go absolutely CRAZY if it rained just one more day. We beat the previous record (1983) of 20 days of rain in March, with 21 this year. Meaning 10 days of [relative] sunshine (some days were still cloudy). I think there was more days of rain in January and February.
BUT... the days that ARE sunny... are worth it!
Peace!
SA (and, sorry, again, Miz Sylvie)
Oh, that's ok, Shelby.
Your remark about the "rules" of the South made me smile.

I think this Hank Williams jr. video pretty much sums it up about what it is about southern women.
Listen to the words and don't let the eye candy distract you from the WORDS.
Have to agree with AGuest, it's not sunny every day here in California and the type of weather you get here depends on where you are in California - it's a big state. I was born in raised in the San Francisco Bay Area on the peninsula 30 miles south of San Francisco. The summer were usually mild and windy with occasional fog with temps in the 70 to 80 range. If it was 80 degrees in my hometown of San Carlos then it was a given that it was in the 60's in San Francisco. I never went to SF without a sweater and always expected to see fog. When I worked in San Francisco it was always funny to see tourists walking around SF in the summer freezing their asses off in shorts and t-shirts cuz no one told them to dress for SF and have a jacket or sweater handy.
Southern women can be kind of slow though, almost to the point of retardation. Watching the news or a documentary with a southern gal is like trying to teach a paraplegic how to walk. Give me a northern, east coast woman any day.
MLE, I wish you had been able to listen to our conversation on yesterday!
Perhaps you would have been stunned?

Watching the news or a documentary with a southern gal
Why in the hell would you be watching the news or a documentary with a southern gal?
You make news with a southern gal and other people document what you're doing trying to learn from the best.
You're "here" in California, dear Josie (peace to you!)? I mistook you for being in "Indiana", girlie!
Peace!

We also involve ourselves in the lives of others, at the risk of being called nosy!
For example, I "know" most posters on this board.
Initially, I found it disconcerting that some longtime members didn't know whether others were female or male.
