This thread, so far, has been a textbook of really lame, nonsensical liberal double talk. When the lefties and their media have an agenda they have an amazing ability to ignore common sense and facts. The further out in left field they get the more they want to shoot their mouth off! LOL, stupid, stupid, people.

Shazhad didn't go train at a camp in Pakistan and set up a car bomb on Times Square because of Islam.
He did it because those greedy evil Capitalists were foreclosing on his house because of Bushitler's fault and KatrinaHalliburtonCheney.
They drove this poor man over the edge.
You right wingers need to get in reality, already, and have a heart!

@ Hemp Lover Correct, the initial reports were of a white male. However, historically what segment of the world's population has been responsible for the terrorist acts committed in recent history? Couple this with the apparent dejection by Contessa Brewer over the fact that the perp was indeed a Muslim, and not some white, racist "tea bagger" and you have the real issue.
Bloomberg said in an interview with Katie Curic, that he would bet that it was someone who was unhappy with helathcare. Of course Curic did not follow up with the next logical question, which should have been, "Mayor Bloomberg, homegrown terrorists in America do not target the media but government buildings in this country. What makes you think that this instance is a form of homegrown terroism rather than foreign?" Instead she just nodded her head in agreement. Why? Because she thinks that the right in this country are dangerous.
Regarding Hasan, the Ft. Hood Muslim terrorist, Chris Matthews was still broadcasting that it was uncertain as to whether or not the shootings were Muslim terroism or not. So there appears to be a hesitancy by the media to take a terrorist event and say that it may be Islamis in origin.

It's getting clearer and clearer that "Racial Profiling" may actually be a good thing. It's getting pretty obvious who our enemies are isn't it?

I'm still wondering about this. How/Why do you question an American citizen for hours, prior to reading him his Miranda rights? You question him for hours and THEN tell him that he has the right to remain silent?
At a press conference today, Attorney General Eric Holder said that Faisal Shahzad was questioned for a number of hours under the "public safety exception" before being Mirandized.
Is that code talk for sending in Jack Bauer?

White House Says Emirate Airlines Dropped the Ball
Senior administration officials say that Faisal Shahzad was put on the no fly list on Monday at 12:30 pm ET.
So how was he able to board the Emirates Airlines flight to Dubai?
“It takes a few hours for the airlines system to catch up,” a senior administration official tells ABC news.
Another senior administration official adds that Emirates refreshes their system to update with US intelligence information periodically – but not frequently.
In any case, the first official says that airlines were “within minutes” of Shahzad being put on the no-fly list told to “look at a web-board” and manually check its passenger manifest against the news on the web board.
“That appears to not have happened” the official says. “For whatever reason there was a breakdown at the Emirates level.”

Regarding the 'Public Safety Exception', here is what I found. . .
Almost twenty years after Miranda the United States Supreme Court under the more conservative leadership of Chief Justice Warren Burger reigned in Miranda for the first time by carving the public safety exception. In New York v. Quarles, 467 U.S. 649 (1984), the High Court held that in limited circumstances where legitimate concerns about public safety exist, evidence and statements are admissible in a subsequent trial even when a suspect is not informed of his Miranda rights. In Quarles an armed rape suspect fled into a supermarket where he ditched his gun. Upon capture by the NYPD he was found to have an empty shoulder holster and was asked where his gun was. The court held that a public safety exception existed because the abandoned gun was a danger to the public.
