WHO ARE THE FALSE PROPHETS TODAY?

I was born in 1950, by 1953 my parents were jw's. I was baptized in 1964. Not a born in jw, however raised as one, left in 1973. Haven't read all nine pages of this topic. Is the wtbts/jw's false prophets? You bet.

As early as 1958/59 they were pushing the 1975 date. There was a book published about the same time as the "Pariedise" book. Same size, same format. It was blue, think it was called "All Scripture's Inspired of God" or words to that effect. Around the same time the wt published the "Jehovah's Witnesses in the Devine Purpose" book. As early as the late forties to early fifties there was another wt book published. The only thing I remember about it was the color, yellow. I mention these books because three of them devoted chapters, or partial chapters to Bible Chornology, wich was the 6000 year argument.

Now, I lived through those years of excitment because the end was certain. It was carved in stone by 1968, over 90% of the jw's believed 1975 was the end. It was a year proved false since it came and went like all the years before and after, nothing happened. Yet the tower lead the r&f around by the nose causing them to believe we would be in the New World no later than 1976. I was there, same as Barb Anderson, Randy Waters, Terry, Blonde and countless other who have posted on this thread. The wtbts lied through their teeth, made a false prophcy and then covered it up as they have done for over a hundred years about any date they have set. That is my parole evidence. None of us are liars. We have no reason to be.

All you diehard jw's can chase your tails all you want. The truth is there in wt publications and from those of us who saw it, lived it. If it tasts good keep drinking the kool-aid, nothing we show you, or say will change your mind. You will grow old and die in this system, same as I, there is no end, the world goes on, will continue to do so long after we and our grand kids are gone.

isnt it kind of funny that when something like 1975 happens, or the new generation view comes along and JWs leave over these issues, the remaining JWs come up with the fact that the ISSUE itself is CLEANING out the organization! ie. refining of true christians! ...

Please Dennis, don’t let the new understanding of “this generation” stumble you. I’m sure there will be some sifting and refining of true Christians now on this issue. Please continue with your Bible study. I hope you will progress to baptism while there is yet time.

I stumbled too on certain teachings … but when I returned to the congregation in 2008 I resolved to never let it happen again. I will repeat the reason WHY. As I said to you earlier on the Friday Question page, a brother from New York Bethel said it similarly to me in 1987.

It’s not important that we have a complete understanding of everything. What’s important is that we put our complete trust in Jehovah, Jesus and the Faithful Slave. Our faith in Jehovah and his sure promises, as well as our desire to serve him fully, should not require that we perfectly understand every single point. If this were the case, then we can be sure that Satan would always use that against us — Satan would make sure that we always have some unresolved issue in front of us, distracting us from serving Jehovah fully! We can see that in these “last days” Jehovah has given us increased light and a richness of understanding, such that there is no need for any of us to “struggle,” nor is there a need to unnecessarily delay in serving Jehovah wholeheartedly. Instead, we should be most thankful and grateful for Jehovah’s undeserved loving kindness in providing the ransom sacrifice for our benefit. It is only because of this undeserved kindness that we can have a close relationship with Jehovah NOW, and the possibility of everlasting life in his new system of things. This is what we should be focusing on, not whether we understand everything perfectly. It is okay to question, yes, and we can be assured that, as we continue to seek for understanding, Jehovah will richly reward us with discernment and contentment of heart (Phil. 1:8-11; John 4:23, 24), but we should not let it be prolonged, nor let it distract us from our real purpose in life, which is the doing of God’s will. http://jehovahswitnessnews.wordpress.com/

Creepy isn't it, how the "Faithful Slave" is now on equal footing with Jehovah and Jesus?

Here's my inserted commentary for this desperate attempt to cling on to a Bible Study who appears to be too clued up for the JW's:

Please Dennis, don’t let the new understanding [changed doctrine - again] of “this generation” stumble you. I’m sure there will be some sifting and refining of true Christians now on this issue [it's God's fault. He talks nonsense to test us, to see if you will still follow him even when he talks nonsense]. Please continue with your Bible study. [Our Literature - whatever you do don't just study the Bible] I hope you will progress to baptism while there is yet time. [Join us or die!]

I stumbled too on certain teachings … [Some facts scared the crap out of me once] but when I returned to the congregation in 2008 I resolved to never let it happen again. [Bad facts! Bad!] I will repeat the reason WHY. As I said to you earlier on the Friday Question page, a brother from New York Bethel said it similarly to me in 1987.

"It’s not important that we have a complete understanding of everything [Forget what you heard on the internet! Don't let the facts confuse you! Who cares if we make no sense? Just accept what you're told. We do, why should you be any different?]. What’s important is that we put our complete trust in Jehovah, Jesus and the Faithful Slave ['Slave", to her = "Governing Body" = "put our complete trust in... 12 old men" = Disaster). Our faith in Jehovah and his sure promises [promises, as interpreted - wrongly - and added to - unscripturally - by the aforementioned old men], as well as our desire to serve him fully ['serve' as interpreted - wrongly - by the aforementioned old men. 'Serve' as in unbearable, unscriptural pointless burden], should not require that we perfectly understand every single point. [Stop thinking and researching, damnit!] If this were the case, then we can be sure that Satan would always use that against us — Satan would make sure that we always have some unresolved issue in front of us, distracting us from serving Jehovah fully![Satan is responsible for the facts that are hindering your acceptance of our myths! Satan is the Master of Facts! And facts are the enemy of our "Truth"] We can see that in these “last days” Jehovah has given us increased light [constantly changing and contradictory doctrine] and a richness of understanding [we have mountains of literature], such that there is no need for any of us to “struggle,” nor is there a need to unnecessarily delay in serving Jehovah wholeheartedly [Stop waiting until you understand before you accept! Understanding is the enemy of compliance! Once you learn fully and understand then you won't want to join us!]. Instead, we should be most thankful and grateful for Jehovah’s undeserved loving kindness in providing the ransom sacrifice for our benefit. [Join the Organization for Jesus, or he'll cry! He died so that you could obey 12 old men in Brooklyn!] It is only because of this undeserved kindness that we can have a close relationship with Jehovah NOW, and the possibility of everlasting life in his new system of things. [Join us or die!] This is what we should be focusing on, not whether we understand everything perfectly. [Stop thinking - you should be too scared of dying to think!] It is okay to question, yes, [It's really not, it's very frustrating, can't you tell? We'll soon put a stop to that after you're baptized.] and we can be assured that, as we continue to seek for understanding, Jehovah will richly reward us with discernment and contentment of heart [Join us and then later, when it's too late, and we've indoctrinated your family, and we've GOT you, then you can face the fact that we have no answers but dare not make a fuss, because if you do your family will never speak to you again] (Phil. 1:8-11; John 4:23, 24), but we should not let it be prolonged, nor let it distract us from our real purpose in life, which is the doing of God’s will [God's, The Society's, same difference... look, just shut the **** up and get in that Pool!].

    Hi Essan

All you did was put on a pair on negative blinkers and rewrite your own negative slant on the words. It is a good example of how biased an ex-Jw mindset is. Showing they can no longer read without looking through this veil of prejudice on anything about Jehovah's witnesses.

    Hi Quietleaving

So we just ignore that Deut 18 makes it clear the false prophet has to be claiming to say inspired Words directly from God "How can we know when a message has not been spoken by Jehovah ?"and stick to your wrong understanding of it?

    To others

Aside from redefining what constitutes being a false prophet outside of the bible (which makes it clear that they must claim direct inspiration from God himself which witnesses never have) there was little content to the ex-Jw points. It was very instructive to see Consfearacy deconstruct all your negative bias on here.

But isnt that exactly what we have been saying that the society is claiming that they are doing? They arent coming out and saying that an angel from god is sitting in on the editorial commitee meetings they have prior to sending something to print, where upon such an angel has a direct link to GOd almighty himself. No. But they are making the bold claim that They are the only mouthpiece on earth today that can publish gods thoughts in print, on matters since they out of everyone are the only truth and thus make spirit directed decisions. THERE IS Little or no difference in prefacing a major doctrinal change, or prediction announcement with words such as "at 8am this morning God thru an angel spoke to brother so and so and this is the new light" compared with claims of being GOds spirit directed organization, along with boasts and wondrous claims of divine appointment, and a divine appointed governing body. We arent ignoring anything were pointing to all those false predictions, flip flop back and forth teachings of great spiritual food that downlplays any semblance of appointment by God.

WE arent haughty. Puffed up with pride. We arent Kora like. We call a spade a spade. Like a scientist once said, Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence. wheres the evidence? When you put it all on a balance the preponderance of the evidence is clearly NOT on the Societys side of the scale. Do YOU REALLY THINK we would have left the so called TRUE religion if it was?

Consfearacy said: Aside from redefining what constitutes being a false prophet outside of the bible (which makes it clear that they must claim direct inspiration from God himself which witnesses never have)

"Most importantly, this magazine builds confidence in the Creator's promise of a peaceful and secure new order before the generation that saw the events of 1914 C.E. passes away."--Awake! magazine headmast before November 1995.

So who exactly made this promise? Was it Jehovah? The Governing Body? You? Me? Clearly, the Governing Body was stating that Jehovah had made this promise when if fact, he had done nothing of the kind. That, according to Deuteronomy, makes them false prophets.

there was little content to the ex-Jw points. It was very instructive to see Consfearacy deconstruct all your negative bias on here.

Hmmm....interesting how "Consfearacy" talks about themselves in the Third Person. Despite the fact that it's a sign of mental problems, our dear 'scholar JW' used to do the same thing. Ignore all the evidence we presented, drone on about something that has nothing to do with the topic, and then refer to himself in the third person stating that he had won the argument......

Actually 'Consfearacy", it is very instructive for lurkers on here to see the insanity of your posts. Hopefully, you'll be instrumental in getting them out of the Organization. Keep up the good work!
