No Syl, I know I did it! Sorry!

Aslientone---- Open your mind and your heart. Stop being so critical. You will find that there are many more people deserving of love than you give them credit for.

Lookee what I encountered when I tried to access Josie's link.

Probably categorized as a white-supremacist site.

I used to manage a Websense installation.

PS: it seems to advocate maintenance of racial homogeneity.

That's funny Sylvia, cuz the infomation on the link has nothing on it even close to being racist. Maybe you can access the link at home.

    Reason:

The Websense category "Racism and Hate" is filtered.

I'll have to wait until I get home.

The page has easy-to-spot factual inaccuracies, however. The Moors were not finally expelled in 1452.

Ya that didn't start until 1609.

I do find this amusing though: Over time the term (Morisco - means Moor-like) was used in a pejorative sense applied to those nominal converso Catholics who were suspected of secretly practicing Islam (crypto-Muslim).

OK, back on topic, as boorish as it is.

No. The last Moorish kingdom was expelled in 1492. Same year as Columbus discovery of America.

Granada. Boabdil. Catholic monarchs Fernando and Isabella. 1492.

Why do you cry like a woman for that which you could not defend as a man?

Then the Spanish looked around and didn't know what to do. All they had known was warfare.

700 years of constant warfare from when Pelayo came down from the mountains with his men and started the reconquest. There is a reason why central Spain is called Castile (castle.)

Spain had recently become a united kingdom for the first time in its history.

Conveniently, a new outlet opened up in the Americas.

Europe too, where Spain dominated for a century. In the 1500s theTerciowas the world's finest military unit.

I should clarify, the explusion I was refering to was from the kingdom of Spain.

Has it been firmly established that spanish people can count? *trying to stay on topic here*
