I think it's about as improper as he thinks it is that, due to his lack of "customer service", I should be forced to grow old and die celibate. If people bash worldly companies when they consistently refuse to stand behind their "products", then why shouldn't that Almighty Lowlife Scumbag be above those worldly companies?

And, with the worldly companies, it's "only" money. You might, for instance, get iTunes and have iTunes 10 ruin your other software or disable your CD/DVD drive, or your iTunes "update(??)" ruin your iPod and then be told that it is "moisture" that caused the problem. And, people get pxxxed because they lose some 4,000 songs and need to waste another $350 on another iPod. But, at least they can get another brand of MP3 player and hook up with Real Player or Napster for downloads. But, when it's Jehovah that is pulling sxxx like this, you cannot go to another source and get proper "service". And, it's not just money you are losing--it's your whole biological life mission!

Definitely, if people can and do call Firefox "Firefxxxs" for continually locking up, or Apple "crApple" for providing software problems on purpose to sell other products, then why wouldn't Jehovah be deserving of these terms (and "Almighty Lowlife Scumbag") for destroying selected people's life missions?

Whether it's proper or improper, I cannot say, given the weight of the above expressions.

    Nevertheless, it does bother me.

A name is just a name. Absolutely nothing wrong with making fun or spoofing it
It's all in "the spirit ".. is it light hearted or more often then not to mock , belittle ? It has been said "To most people their name is the most beautiful sounding word in the language !

I think WTwizzard gives us a perfect example of what I mean here ......thanks for the help !!

    Thanks, OUTLAW, for asking.

Maybe it's all conditioning, but I've been using that name reverentially for nearly fifty years. I still say to JW friends "may Jehovah be with you," "Jehovah provides," etc. I was raised both on Hollywood Bible movies, which often used THE NAME and on the NWT, which, however wrong, made an indelible impression on my psyche. What is said above may be entirely true, but the programming reaches deep to my core.

I have difficulty emotionally when anyone is made fun of, though I fully understand the jokes and anger and hurt expressed here on JWN.

Thank you for being so kind.
