obligatory:
You can hate the religion, but you need to respect Gods name.
jehovah is not God's name. It's represents what some people think is his name. If it was really that important to God I'm sure he would find a way to let everyone know what his real name is.
Contrary, I think its proper to do so, since making fun of what was once human ignorance thousands of years ago is quite
satirically funny and appropriate.. Fear supplements ignorance, this is what created ALL the gods in history, even Jehovah.
All this time I thought I was a Jovial Witness. I was a member of The Happiest People On Earth (TM).
Fighting words aren't protected under the first amendment. It depends on who you're talking to and in what context you are using the "name."
Xchange,
Are you on the Viking path?
Make fun of "Jehovah"???
Why bother?
(Unless it's a thread dedicated to humorous satire...)
"Jehovah" is no more valid as a target of satire and insults than "Thor", "Odin", "Quetzecoatl", or any of the other recent 'deities' worshipped by humanity...
My "Goddess" is over two hundred thousand years old; but I still can make fun of 'Her', once in a while... "She" has made NO death-threats towards people who are satirical, mischevous, or even humorously disrespectful...
But "Jehovah" is a different matter altogther...
Why worship a 'deity' with no sense of humor - no ability to laugh at him/herself???
Zid
Bohm...
GREAT video!!
The Jehovah of the Hebrew Scriptures was a complete fiction created by scribes to explain the victories and defeats of the Israelites, and to explain the origin of life on Earth. To think that a Jehovah with an indecisive mind and the temper tantrums of a two year old created the universe as we now know it is ridiculous. Jehovah is a joke that has lasted far too long.
