Their parents could be just as confused as their children. Depending on their intentions, if they are good I would try and debate their points but if its just finger point and judgement i would tell them to leave.

I think that the rationale on this thread is all wrong, your all just giving them more reason for them to say to themselves "we truly are GOD's chosen people because in the bla bla we will be hated among all earth"

How is walking into a coffee shop and saying nothing and they always get up and Leave giving them reason? I get in line for coffee So I should what call the coffee shop to see if any JWs are there and if not then it's ok to get coffee?

Here's what you do...

The next time you're traveling somewhere - somewhere FAR, FAR away from home - walk in to the local KH and tell them that you were disfellowshipped for - whatever, make something up, but don't use "APOSTASY" [gasp!! ], whatever you do - ...

And then attend a meeting or two or three - depending on how long you're going to be there - and observe their behavior towards you...

T'would be interesting to see the results. You could play with it, even - tell them you killed your last Presiding Overseer, but that you confessed it to the Body of Elders and they agreed that, since you were repentant, they didn't need to bring in the police...

About 15 years ago, I caught a JW elder going through my trash. He had to open a gate and enter my side-yard to do it.

I went out the front door, circuled around and confronted him.

I'm not a big, scary guy, but a territorial husky/wolf hybrid on a leash coupled with the Police/Riot variant of the Remington 870 will take the wind out of anyone's sails.

At the time, it was satisfying because he was almost certainly trying to dig up dirt on my wife. (A loyal JW happily married to an "Opposer." How can that be??)

...But I've felt bad about it ever since. It's not the biggest regret of my life, but if I could relive that evening, I would certainly do things differently.

TD, what are your remorseful about ? I thought that move was right on the money

he was the one who stooped to that low level, he was tryin' to cause harm, which

could have affected your wifes state of mind and happiness. Which would have affected

the whole household. You know the dominoe effect. You nipped it in the bud. You Did some prunin'

and I don't mean on a rose bush.
