This kind of advice is what allows my crazy ass sister-in-law to keep my brother from talking to his family. Both of them, IMHO, have personality disorders which include intense insecurity and paranoia. These lines in the WT just feed those types of people to be even more insane than they actually are. It would be nice if there was some balanced advice once in a while.

Shouldn't they have added this? : 'Always remember though, that Jehovah is waiting right around the corner to laugh at the death of your loving mate, that one you respect and love more than anyone else on this earth. Like all of those who refuse to join our little cause, he or she is doomed to destruction, and you too, his/her spouse, will be able to laugh right along with Jehovah at the sight of him/her laying like manure on the earth, waiting for carrion fowl to pluck out their eyes. Though you love him/her, Jehovah disdains them now for not selling magazines serving him alongside you. May paradise, and Jehovah's loving hand, make your life full again in the new order just ahead.'

I live by faith, love and infinite gratitude to Jehovah God as though Armageddon is coming today. However, I continue to prepare secularly as though it won't come anytime soon!
It's what works for this particular JW.
