I had a barbie like this, but my barbie's hair was more like a blonde fro. I also had the set with a head with vinyl hair and three wigs. One of the wigs was a blonde fro. 1965ish.

I'm pushing forty and I pretty well still have all my hair! I'm going grey though. I've got this lovely skunk stripe right in the middle of the front of my hair. I'm not sure what others think of it, but I think it might be cool...

I just saw that video and the story motivating the making of it today. It is a great message. I made a commitment a couple years ago not to get any more relaxers, and I gave away my pressing comb. I'm just sick of the chemicals, smells, and the pain.
