No, you just seem really sweet. I would have put you in your early twenties. (not that us older folks can't be sweet mind you )

How cute is that!! I just called my little mixed girl into the room to watch it. She's at that age were she wants her hair to look like everyone else so we spent lots of time with a straightener and blow dryer :(
Tomorrow is another wet rainy day so she's going all natural with those beautiful curls
I guess this guy would be my official Hair Pride Muppet by default
I like the way my hair looks most of the time, but being a quarter Italian I tend to get the greaseball thing pretty quickly if I don't shampoo
But I like to get up nice and oily in the morning (sorry)
My girls are a quarter Latina... you can imagine how gorgeous their long hair is
I loved that Sesame Street video, saw it earlier and shared it with my wife.
I Sesame Street for this very reason! It encourages little ones take pride in themselves and accept others' differences, no matter what they see and experience out in the Big World.
I wept when Mr. Rogers passed away. Between him and Sesame Street — and how we were raised in the Borg — we knew that children, somewhere, were truly loved and appreciated as individuals. Every child was unique, even worthy. Not all were stuck in some adult-made, repressive regime, and we could only hope… our parents and adults at the Hall would accept (celebrate?) us someday like the adults did on stinkin' children's public television!
Glad to have been the first generation to experience it. Thrilled to see it's still going strong. Thanks, Mrs. J.

If I ever style my hair anymore, I might use the curling iron on the ends, but I rarely do that. The first picture. Usually I just wear it straight. The second picture. I have nightmate memories of having to put my long hair on hot curlers or using a curling iron on too much, shorter hair before the meetings. I liked the hippie wash and wear look before I was a JW and now I like it as a former JW. Wash and wear hair and no shoes. I hate shoes.
Wasblind..I used Dippity doo..
Made your hair hold a curl and made it fuller.
My hair grows fast..it still at 68 is mostly brown with hints of grey. I got a spiral perm years ago when they were popular and it has stayed ever since. I am always asked if I have a perm and I tell them I got one like 20 years ago..
My JW mother in law always told my husband that I colored my hair behind his back and would lie to him about it.. She didn't believe my hair wasn't turning grey. She could be a real catty "B" sometimes..
I am thinking about getting it cut real short and sticking it behind my ears..but may wait til next summer. I want to get either blonde or auburn highlights also..
Hubby (JW)always believed a woman should have long hair..so I kept it long.
Now it's time to have some fun with it!
I watched a DR show a while back and they said you should not wash your hair with shampoo more than once or twice a week. The rest of the time just use water to rinse it well. It destroys all the natural oil in your hair if you shampoo too much. The shampoos are way to harsh anyway. They should be mixed with water.
